....and the fact that he isn't angry (although he IS apparently willing to send me to hell) is proof of his love.

This is usually augmented by some kind of statement involving the words "parent", "child", and "rejection" or "believe", as is "What parent wouldn't be angry at a child who doesn't believe in them?"

Laying aside the fact that unlike with my parents, (1) I've never seen God, (2) I've unsuccesfully asked him for things that no parent could refuse (such as relief from severe pain or healing a beloved bet), and (3) I gave him fair warning that without proof of his existence I was going to stop believing... and got nothing in return, my REAL question is this:

If your child stopped believing you exist, would you really be angry? I wouldn't be. Concerned, certainly, and worried. But angry? No.

So why do Christians keep saying that God "should" be angry (when no parent would be) and that the fact that he isn't proves that he loves us so much?

Bible is the the blue print that tells who God is and how we can find Him. According to this blue print, we also need to talk to Him as if we talk to our human friend. Like a human friend, we even have the freedom to ask God to respond to our douubtful heart. For instance, you can tell Him "God, I doubt in your existence. Would you please reveal me yourself in a way that I can understand you?". My friend, dis you really searched for God and could not find Him?

if god/allah was perfect in all ways then why did he have to speak in such a low manner about half the human population who are women?

Or else are these books the writings of men who wanted to keep women subserviant so that they can use them whenever they want for sex?

Get upset that there are so many non-believers and Atheists also here? Shouldn't the fact that we are here make their life easier? I mean, we are all right here before them, and they love to convert people... Is it that we are too intelligent to fall for their ploy and so they would rather seek out the simpler people?

Also, why do they lump all non-believers into the "Atheist" category when there are so many paths and beliefs... in Paganism alone there are hundreds.

...do they go to hell since they never accepted Jesus?

If so, how is that fair or just behavior from a just God? How can someone accept Jesus ("no one comes to the father except through me") if they've lived their entire life on a deserted island or in the heart of Africa and never once heard of Jesus or saw a Bible?

If not, and if God makes exceptions for people who didn't have a chance to accept Jesus, then wouldn't it be better to NOT have missionaries. If a country has never heard of Jesus, they'll all go to heaven and no one will be sent to hell. But if they HAVE heard of Jesus, then they might reject him, and some of them will go to hell.

I think science tells us how the Gods did it. Science has NOT answered all the questions int he universe. That is what makes science so interesting. I merge science with religion every day!

we all know now that man is made up of mostly water. when the bible was written, this obviously wasn't known, and the theory that we were made of dirt would have made sense to them.

if the bible was god's word, i think he would have known that he created us with water, not dirt. doesn't this prove that the bible is just a book, and did not come from god?

christians (and anyone who wants to answer), what do you think about this?

But then a few hours after talking with them I start to loose that connection. I recently began reading the bible again-old testament--and all the anger that God has and the killing I read about makes no sense to me at all. Why would God be a jealous God? I can see I am still along way off in my quest for knowledge. It sucks I do want so badly to believe but just can't seem to get it straight within my mind. People has been sending many websites that proves the bible is faultly spots and it does make some sense to me. Perhaps I am one of the lost ones.

Has the magic pot of earth that god used to create adam ever been found? . To say that god created humans from dirt is kind of hypocritically laughable.
