Why does the christian-based population here on R&S...?

Question

Get upset that there are so many non-believers and Atheists also here? Shouldn't the fact that we are here make their life easier? I mean, we are all right here before them, and they love to convert people... Is it that we are too intelligent to fall for their ploy and so they would rather seek out the simpler people?

Also, why do they lump all non-believers into the "Atheist" category when there are so many paths and beliefs... in Paganism alone there are hundreds.

First point: They fail to remember that it is their god who is supposed to convert people, and then get angry when their own efforts don't succeed.

For the second point: Black and white thinking - Shades of grey thinking makes biblical 'interpretation' too convoluted. Black and white thinking makes the 'interpretation' hard enough as it is. This leads to 'not christian = does not believe in god (there is only one) = atheist'.

The majority of the Christians on here have absolutely NO CLUE about anything other than their own religion. The were raised Christian with all the fire and brimstone stories and they do not understand any other way. They have the blood of Adam running in their veins...they are genetically predispositioned to worship the Christian God and ONLY the Christian God. IF, by some chance, they do know about other religions and pathways it is but an inkling of trivial knowledge that they learned from a Discovery channel show.

They try to convert every non Christian because they have been charged by their God to do so. Their efforts to convert a non Christian is not evil in itself. They believe that they are doing the greatest of kindnesses when they spread the word. Their faith in The Father and Christ is so rewarding, why wouldn't anyone want to be Christian ?!? Again this is because they are the blood of Adam. If you contain the blood of Adam, you must worship Christ and The Father, you can't help it. The Father built them, they worship The Father.

It never occurs to their way of thinking that there were other Gods and Goddesses in the Elohim who created the other races of Man.

Elohim is a plural word, including male and female, and should properly be translated "Gods" or "Pantheon."

The people from the land of Nod where Cain wandered off to were the first "Other People" that the Yahweh-created family of Adam met...but those "Other People" were never in the garden and had never heard of Yahweh. They had their own Gods...Yahweh's brothers and sisters.
The Christians label all others as Atheist because that is what The Father and Christ call the "Other People". The Father and Christ are very protective of their creation (Adam's line) and want to be worshipped by them. It was the original slander campaign. Pagans make Yahweh nervous.

I've never tried to convert anyone and have no intention of ever trying. Our job was to spread the word, it's done. I don't know anyone who hasn't heard. If you choose not to believe, sorry, but that's not my problem. I understand why pagans are here, wiccans, other religions, but quite honestly the only reasons atheists come here is to bash and troll. They're hanging out in the religion/spiritual section, neither of which they have. I've heard the old "educating us" nonsense, but like I said, it's simply bashing and trolling. I don't hang out in the craft section, because I have no interest in crafts, yet these bashers and trolls spend lots of time in a section they keep telling us they have no belief in, very flamin logical. All they do is clutter up legitimate questions and answers. I don't even open wiccan, pagan, buddist, hindu, etc. questions because I know I don't have the answer, yet these people answer obviously christian questions with intelligent remarks like "there is no god". Just ignorant.

As another pagan/witch, I agree it is odd. I mean, if they really feel it is their duty to bring us black sheep into the fold, here we are. However, it would take intelligent analysis of the best evidence they have for the validity of their point of view, and all too many of them simply are not up for the task. Yet they are told it is their duty to convert us, so they get frustrated, and then they get rude.

Have some compassion; theirs is not an easy lot.

i think they get frustrated when they can't convert us.

i come hear to have intellectual conversations about religions, but that rarely happens.

what i did find here (which surprised me) is the respect that most people of all religions (and non religions) actually have for pagans! people are really coming around and realizing we're not evil devil worshippers!

i don't mind when people try to convert me as long as they don't go overboard, because i believe they're doing it out of love : )

Even God told us of your "intelligence..."

As far as "lumping others" with atheism, I doubt it from this standpoint. Atheism has nothing but its own intelligence to take it through life, which last an iota compared to eternity.

I have experienced God, felt His presence and KNEW it was Him. For you to claim your intelligence is better than being with Him, I would rather be a fool than boast on your gain of nothing in the end.

Your "intelligence" comes from this world only. You are still living in darkness whatever you want to call it: atheism, paganism, buddism, etc. Jesus is the way.

Edit: the poster above me is wrong about Elohim. I have studied the different names of God. Elohim is one of them. It means Creator. Elohim comes from two words. "El" means God. "oh" means creation and "im" makes it plural. It is not plural in the sense that it stands for many different gods. The plural is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
