....and the fact that he isn't angry (although he IS apparently willing to send me to hell) is proof of his love.
This is usually augmented by some kind of statement involving the words "parent", "child", and "rejection" or "believe", as is "What parent wouldn't be angry at a child who doesn't believe in them?"
Laying aside the fact that unlike with my parents, (1) I've never seen God, (2) I've unsuccesfully asked him for things that no parent could refuse (such as relief from severe pain or healing a beloved bet), and (3) I gave him fair warning that without proof of his existence I was going to stop believing... and got nothing in return, my REAL question is this:
If your child stopped believing you exist, would you really be angry? I wouldn't be. Concerned, certainly, and worried. But angry? No.
So why do Christians keep saying that God "should" be angry (when no parent would be) and that the fact that he isn't proves that he loves us so much?

Yeah, the overwhelming insecurity of god shows in that very disbelief concept.

As a Christian, I understand your frustrations. The majority of Christians on here give you "Bible" answers to try to answer your questions.
It's hard to not use some type of "Christian-ese" word, but the truth is that just because God didn't answer three of your questions doesn't mean he doesn't exist.
As a child I prayed earnestly for all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (no really, I was a die hard fan) I never came home from church with them sitting on my bed, and I didn't understand why. I thought God was my God of convenience and that if I were a good boy, then I would be rewarded, and if I were bad, I wouldn't be.
My grandmother battled colon cancer for a year. My family watched her die. We prayed that she would be healed. Just because she died from colon cancer does not mean that he is not there. It's obvious that God had other plans. It was my grandmothers time to die. Through that, God was able to make our entire family closer, as through that year, my father's side of the family bonded and healed a lot of old junk that had been in their life.
There are numerous accounts in MY life about this. It's not anything that's tear jerking, but I see people completely write off God for not having their prayers answered, whenever they don't realize that it is possible that their prayer being answered in their way might not have been the most beneficial.

Your question was very interesting and got me to thinking.I couldn't come up with an answer so I did the only thing I could think of.I called God.This is what she told me: "If he/she doesn't believe in Me,tell them to stop talking and thinking about Me.That way they won't know and won't care if I exist. However,if I do exist, tell he/she,I'll meet them at the gate! And by the way, tell them not to miss quote me.I hate that!" hope that solves some of your concerns.

the only concern that any one ought to turn to God for is the scriptural kind. interior the Bible "concern" is the term for which we now use "reverence". jointly as we are busy offending God, He loves us. He got here to earth and died for our sins. Why ought to you be petrified of Him? God does not deliver people to hell. this is their own decision. Jesus provides them salvation. Why could all people reject that present? Out of shock?

Only you can send yourself to hell. God does not send anyone there. God gives you a choice . It is up to you which path you follow, the path to God or the path away from God. God forces no one to follow Him.

Do one thing, if you don't wanna believe, don't believe. Simple. Period. Why complicate things so much?
I believe and I don't always get what I want. every one suffers, Christians and not Christians.
