That is so strange that I found this question because yesterday at church that is what the message was. My Bishop talked about how we may not be perfect Christians but we need to show others who may not believe the miracles that GOD has done for us. He gave many examples about how in the Bible God showed himself in many different ways to nonbelievers. He healed the blind and sick, He turned the sea into blood, He turned Moses' staff into a snake, and He even had Moses stick his hand in his cloak and pulled it out with disease only to stick it back in to be healed. Many may not believe this but I can truly say that He has done great things for me!
My daughter was diagnosed with Turette's about a year ago. It would cause her great pain where she would cry all the time. It interferred with her school work to the point where she was doing poorly. I prayed so much doing this time because I hated to see her like this. She is only 11 and people just didn't understand. She was put on medication that made here so tired and sleepy even in school and I just didn't know what to do. Oneday when our Bishop called everyone that was sick in their body to the alter, I took her with me. He prayed over her and spoke a healing into her body. By this time my faith was weak and I was confused as to why God would allow my baby to go through this terrible thing. I started to notice that after awhile she had stopped taking her meds by herself because I wasn't getting any refills. I started to watch her and I noticed that she didn't tick anymore. I asked her about it and she said that she doesn't have that problem anymore. I couldn't believe it! I started rejoicing because no one but GOD could have healed her. She doesn't even have to take her asthma meds anymore either. There hasn't been a sign of any attacks in the last year either. This is coming from a kid who has been hospitalized many times for asthma and was put on 3-4 different meds for it since she was 5.
I say all this to say that even if you all don't see the good that GOD does for you take a closer look at even the things that may be little to you. He is still there working on your behalf. All you have to do is believe. We all fall short of HIS glory but just continue to have faith and He will show you that He is real!

The bible is not a blue print to anything....
The idea of a blue print doesn't even come into practice until the Renessance (excuse the spelling)...
The bible is a history book...Trying to tell the story of a people (the Hebrew or Jewish people)... It incorporates mythical creatures and characters like all ancient histories. (Illiad and Oddessy...for example)...
Everything in the Bible...except for maybe Revelations...has a historical place... Either imagined, like Genesis or Acts... archeologically proven...like exodus... even letters are historical letters that the church fathers sent diverging congreations of the time.

y'know, there was a time i doubted god's existence. i kept praying and praying until he hit me like an 18-wheeler. the bible says "search and you'll find" so as long as you have the intention of trying to search for him you will find him...
...so i guess the answer is no.

What does God need to do to show that He exists?
Have Divine prophecy fulfilled? Did that.
Bless you? Did that.
Give you His message written down? did that.
Send people in your life? did that.
Make a language for the existance of all life?
did that. (DNA)
The list goes on and on...
What else does He have to do?
Appear in the flesh? did that.

I believed with my whole heart. Went to bible college to study the "meat of the word." When studying it in koine greek, it started to fall apart for me - it was the last thing I expected in bible college. I thought I might be "proud" and relying on my mind, so I rejected intellect and turned to prayer. That too didn't work.
I didn't leave god. He left me (because he doesn't exist). I'm not bitter. That statement sounded bitter. But it was just....smoke and mirrors. No substance no matter how badly I wanted it.

Well maybe it is because God isn't lost, your friend is, tell your friend to search with the heart, not the mind, and God reveals himself everywhere! :)

I search for Him in my heart, my life and my mind and I find him EVERY TIME.
THAT IS FAITH MY DEAR. When you absolutely KNOW something.
Life would be astoundingly hard without the absolute fact that his is with you always.
