and i just throw this out there when i hear/read things like this... just an idea, but... you simply dont believe in god because of religious texts? how does people's ideas about god make the possibility of a god nonexistent?

Hmm, an odd question really. You might as well ask why the pork-pie tree doesn't exist. Or why Pixies don't exist. There is not a reason that they don't exist, they just don't, that's all.
I suppose you could argue that god exists as a concept since so many people believe in their various gods. But there is no sound evidence based proof of concept.
Belief and faith are not proof, however strong they are and a concept is just that.

First of all God does exist, if not you wouldn't be here. There are things scientist and others can't explain they have these theories but there is one truth and the the Word of God (the Bible) What's funny is scientist and historians even proved that all the people in the bible did exist. And who you think wakes you up in the morning? It's not yourself or your alarm clock, put an alarm clock in a graveyard and let me know how many people wake up. If you wake your self up. Also next time you spell God's name capitalize that "G"

I was a believer, then I watched as all of the Christians I knew become hypocrites. All I heard after that was how God forgives. If they truly believed in heaven, they wouldn't have the courage to sin.
They use the devil as an excuse.

I'm confused! you appear to have contradicted yourself....
you ask why he does not exist but then say he exists in a book!
I personally don't believe the book, but then I don't believe in spiderman either..... but I know he exists as a fictional being...... ???????

it was merely an imagination of crackpots 2000 years ago and some guy got crucified for it.the only force in the universe is nature.it creates and it destroys.
