I'm tired of being verbally assaulted by Christians when I refer to their "ignorance" of facts that disprove their religion and such. I understand why they take offense. Ignorance does have kind of an ugly connotation, even though I only mean it as having a lack of knowledge on a given subject.

What's a nicer way to say this, you think?

John 14:12: "the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father". 1 John 4:12: "No one has ever seen God at any time." John 14:28: "I am going to the Father, for My Father is greater than I." John 20: 17: "I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and Your God." Isn't it obvious that the Father is God and is greater than the Son and that the Son is not God?

that homosexuals are unfit parents. Studies show that kids who grow up with gay parents are not statistically more likely to be gay than kids with straight parents. Studies also show that kids who grow up with gay parents are not statistically more likely to suffer from mental disorders like depression and anxiety. Every study ever conducted by reliable sources, AKA scientists, not the church, has shown that kids with gay parents grow up to be perfectly normal. The only argument Christians have is that it is immoral. It can't be any more immoral that all these unfit straight couples who have kids and then get divorced after having kids.

Someone just asked : "Can I follow all religions, just to be on the safe side? " lol
Do you think that is true?
That's no way near Faith, it's an insurance policy.

from what I see the only reason most don't like the SDA church is because they have to many rules.People only look at them as rules.God gave people the freedom of choice. If you're SDA and eat pork, so what? The church can't condem you for it and if they do then they need to take a closer look at themselves.Sure they get this from the bible, but it's not so much about these rules, but more about serving God.That is what should be your first priority. As for the whole Sabbath thing, from sunset friday night to sunset saturday night is the Sabbath day created for resting, like Jesus rested on that day.Yes, people should worship everyday, but the true Sabbath is the day that we should all take a rest from the world, this is a specific time set for a one on one with God, not just for a few minutes or hours, but a whole day.I guess my question is not so much why do people dislike Seventh-day Advestist, but why do you let petty things like that get in the way of something that can benefit you?

Well, if we look at the world from media's eyes, everything becomes quite hopeless. It projects only the evil, opportunist, greedy, angry, dirty side of human beings. While when i was in Pakistan their was a poor man in the Bus who payed for this guy who had no money to pay the fare. Then i came to Canada where this woman helped this injured guy get to the hospital without even recieving any thing at all for her bravery. Why cant these news be reported equally? Why cant they be our role models? Why do tend to generalize and classify people when we dont even know their circumstances? Dont you think Positive news should get as much Air time as the Negative news?

Who else gets enraged when hearing people go "Evolution is only a theory"??
One last time! Theory in scientific terms does not mean "supposition" or " guess" the way we use it in everyday language. That case is rather closer to the term "hypothesis" in science.
A "theory" in science means "ideas that have been repeatedly tested experimentally under very rigorous conditions and confirmed to behave as expected". Quantum electrodynamics, heliocentrism, and plate tectonics are other examples of scientific theory; they are areas that have been independently studied and repeatedly verified over decades or centuries using increasing amounts of hard data. It's as close to proven as anything in science can be.
People also use law.
A "law" in science is used to "describe" things, a "theory" explains them.
A theory can never become a law. They're two different things.
Simple no?

Are there people who should not have died? If so, why would God/Destiny make it so? In saying that someone should not have died, isn't that in direct defiance to God's/Destiny's will? If not, why is everyone so afraid to die and willing to give up so many freedom's in order to prolong life as long as possible? Isn't it possible that death is wonderful? Can anyone really know that it is not? Death is a great unknown to everyone who is alive and why do we choose to believe death is bad when really it feels a lot better to believe that it is wonderful?

ok, i've heard this several times now from muslims. apparently they believe jerry falwell converted to islam on his death bed...nevermind that he died suddenly in his office and i'm sure didn't have time to covert before death even if he wanted to. Now, i didn't agree with everything jerry falwell said, but i think he was a decent man that got a lot of people upset because he wasn't afraid to say what he believed. Everyone has a right to different beliefs, and thinking different doesn't make someone stupid, ignorant, racist, homophobic, a nazi, or a muslim. So, what is up with all the rumors, lies and hatred for him? I saw one girl on here post that he was "human" because he got caught with a hooker. when the heck did that happen? perhaps she got her scandals mixed up. i also think the racist allegation is unfair. yes, he was for segregation...as were practically all white people in the south. isn't admitting you were wrong and changing a sign of strength rather than weakness?
