No, it doesn't. Faith leads to you believe in something you think is the truth: maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Who knows what the truth really is? I've always said religion is just man's best guess.

No, sometimes faith leads to war. Yes, people have always had faith in falsehood. For centuries people had faith that the earth had 4 corners... today, we know the earth has zero corners.

Well, you can't really have faith in something that's been shown to be true, can you? I don't have faith in gravity, or in breathing air. I don't need to. Faith means believing in something which cannot be shown, but which you nonetheless believe to be true. So of course you can have faith in a falsehood, you just won't acknowledge it as a falsehood, because you have faith in it.

Faith is based on belief, not fact. My 5 year old has faith in the Easter Bunny. But, yes, faith usually will lead to the truth. Her faith in the Easter Bunny will lead to the truth that he dosent exist.

Faith, in the religious sense, is a concept that was invented to intimidate people into accepting things without evidence for it. Instead of the more appropriate response, "you are really naive for believing that. You have no reason to accept such a preposterous idea". You are rewarded with, "wow, I really admire your faith". It is the opposite of the scientific method. The more you believe in something with the least amount of evidence for it means you have the greater amount of faith. It is the primary belief upon which all religion is based. Faith gives us reassurance from the fear of death which in inevitable to all of us. Notice I say, "faith in the religious sense" because this word can also mean that we have faith in a person or situation based upon our previous experience, which is something different.

Faith must be placed in the right things. Nazis had faith they were the master race because of the propaganda of their leaders. Koreans believe in their leader since they have no option. Terrorists believe in heaven with virgins for killing people.
To find truth faith is not enough. It must be accompanied by work. Work to find truth.

Yes, there are absolute truths and there are relative truths. I think everyone of us have faith in something. I chose to have faith in Jesus - the one who came to save me from my sins, so that I can have a relationship with God.

"Can someone have faith in a falsehood?"
So, you're either looking for
A) George Bush
...or
B) Jesus Christ
as an answer. I guess based on your answers to other questions, it wasn't a difficult inference to draw.
