after years of trying to figure stuff out I came to a couple of conclusions. One I think that almost all the religions may call their god different names, but it is the same GOD. And everyone is different, they will interpret things different and celebrate the same things and feelings in different ways and with different stories. And how it was put in the movie DOGMA, when asked which one is right and she says "well none of them have it exactly right, what is important is just to have faith"

We are all just human, and it has been handled by humans, so all of it has some things right and some things wrong, and some things that are different and don't matter.

What I truly believe is that religion or a lack of it is a very personal decision. Everyone has a reason - or more than one reason - for believing what they do. Trying to cover all the bases seems to be the "fence sitting" that Christians refer to.

My real feeling on this is that if you have specific beliefs that have been formed by your life experience, you should look for a group of believers who are like minded. It is why most members of a specific religion are members of the religion they belong to.

Most Christians and I think Jews believe that the teachings of the Bible do make sense, that the knowledge of right and wrong is inscribed on the tablets of their hearts (Hebrews 8:10) - this is true based on the persons I have spoken with that are members of these religions. As far as Muslims (too many it seems), I think they believe what they believe because it is mandated by the government of the countries they live in and is so ingrained in their culture that they may not truly have a choice. The same may be true of Hinduism (and probably Buddhism also), however simply being the official religion of a nation does not necessarily mean it is forced on the individual. The laws of the nation determine this to a much greater extent.

If you live in a country where you have the freedom, exercise it, respect others beliefs, and do what you can to make the world a better place in any way you can - even if it is only with one person at a time, one kind act at a time, and even if they are not as frequent as others might like. Sometimes the opportunity isn't presented often to make an impact and sometimes it is an hourly challenge.

Be thankful you have the chance to find the truth, some do not have that option at all! Also, I applaud you for examining religion at all. It seems to many are ignorant and have made an effort to remain so!

Learning about as many religions as you can is a good thing to do because it helps you understand the viewpoints of a lot of different people. You have the right to practice whatever faiths you may, but you might run into some problems when they start to contradict each other :)

If you owned a company, would or could you allow your employees to do anything they wanted? Instead of making you money, they cost you money. What would you do? Not even charities allow this.

What makes you think God is any different? He put down in the Bible which way and how He wanted to be worshiped. We were warned of false religions misleading many. It is up to each of us to learn what that one way is to please Him, not us.

Well there's no point including the major monotheistic religions, since even if they were correct you'd go to hell for worshipping false gods.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can get to the Father but by Him. Only Jesus can save you.
