No man can talk to God for you
so why do kneel for a POPE that doesn't exist in God's eyes?
Since Christ is the only way and light why Rm 1:25 follow
the creation more than the CREATOR? What's your reasoning and can you giveme scripture for it? I can give you scripture NOT to do so.

Be honest about Mtt 23 isn't that talking about this same thing?

Did you know that the genome of an onion is larger than the genome of a human?

If the "theory" (and yes, it is just a THEORY) of evolution is true, then you know that since every creature on earth shares a common ancestor that means that the genome of humans should be almost as long as that of an onion.

But it isn't. It doesn't even come close.

If you believe in the "theory" of evolution, then you believe we came from apes and because of this we inherited most of their DNA. Those apes evolved from other animals. The apes inherited their DNA from other animals. Those animals inherited their DNA from reptiles who inherited their DNA from fish, who inherited their DNA from smaller organisms.

The point that I'm trying to make is that if evolution is true, how come our genomes are so short?

Any moron should be able to see that Christianity is the one true religion and that the "theory" of evolution is totally false.

Do you agree?

I'm somewhat tired of hearing insults from one belief to the next. Compliment a religion (or multiple religions, or atheism, etc) besides your own. I'd like to hear what you have to say. Please nothing negative.

The Prophet Heber J. Grant is quoted in President Kimball's book:
"...There is no true Latter-day Saint who would not rather bury a son or daughter than to have him or her lose his or her chastity -- realizing that chastity is of more value than anything else in all the world."

I don't understand this. Is this true of LDS?
Please only serious answers and no bashing! "Ranting and raving" is a violation of Yahoo terms. Please be respectful.

some claim that simply through the grace of God you are saved. Is that true? If so, which denomination is the most influencial? Thanks.

I somehow believe "justification by faith" is not enough. "Sanctification" as a lifelong effort is the way to heaven. Certainly it's a joint effort between men and the Holy Spirit. We must do our work. I tend to emphasize more on our own part, partially b/c I am in China where oriental philosophy influences Christian churches. What do you think ?

I read the first chapter from the second link and I thought Professor Tipler had some intriguing ideas. Do you think his theories may have merit? Why or why not? This could be the information we have all been waiting for.

God's own testimony is in all of creation, and speaks to the heart and was created to be as a witness and for evidence of God's existence. Theres is evidence everywhere, and yet so many choose not to believe it. I don't get it.

What else could He have possibly created for a person to believe Him. He gave us the whole world and everything in it. They're still discovering more plant life and creatures in the oceans that no one has ever seen before until now.

What is it that makes it so easy for some to write God off when the evidence and His testimony is everywhere? Would someone please explain this to me, I promise I won't preach at you or anything, I'm just curious, because I'd really like to know what it is,

I can't even fathom where a person forms this conclusion from, can someone please explain this to me?

The Old Testament was too hard to live by, so they made up this story about Jesus so they could live by new, more lax rules.

I am a Christian. I believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

I embrace everyone until they give me a personal reason not to. I am talking about someone who is evil. Every race, creed and orientation.

I believe in angels, ghosts and other spirits: good and evil. I believe that all people are born with a 6th sense. I believe that the world makes some people subdue this sense because it is considered ridiculous. I personally see things in my dreams that actually tell me things that actually happen in the future...they do happen.

I don't believe that people should have abortions. I don't believe in stem cell research. I believe in the death penalty. I do think that homosexuality is wrong. However, I love and except others opinions and ways.

We are not currently members of a church or denomination because we have to deal with very judgmental Christians.

So if the purpose of a legal state of marriage isn't about love, but was created for procreation reasons why should the state suddenly care about who you love enough to allow same sex marriages. What is the benefit for society? Also keep in mind that same sex marriages have a higher divorce rate, higher then 50%. Most of these marriages dissolve so what would the purpose be to the entire society, not just the individuals.

The sitaution goes like this.I bought a car from my friend whom owns a auto mechanic shop.We had an agreement that if I bought the parts to fix the car, he wouldn't charge me for labor.Ayear later, I came up with the money to buy the parts.I gave him 1000 dollars for the parts in October 2006.At the time he told me that he would have the car ready in a month, by thanksgiving.Thanksgiving came , he told me to give him until christmas, christmas came, he told me togive him until the first week of january, that came, he then told me to give him a few more weeks, a few more weeks came, and my car still stayed in the same condition. So around the middle of march, I told him i needed a paint job, he told me since he was busy, that if I gave him 700.00 dollars he would hire someone else to do it and have the car out in a week.Guess what happened, yup he claimed the guy flaked out on him, because he wanted to paid up front before he continued. That was over a month ago

Additional Details

so, he told me would work on my car personally, and that he would have the car out in a week,so the week came and it never got done, and so today I asked for my money back and he told me that he 's going to make deductions, because the guy he hired, he paid him 200.00 dollars in labor, and so he will decuct that money he gave him from the money I gave him to paint mycar, and so now I'm really truly feeling like this person is not my friend, and to never talk to him, the reason I feel bad is because he has helped me out with problems, and school and stuff, he's helped me out financially in some instances, so I'm at odds right now.

Well,I got a few responses to the first question all but one as dense as a kid brother on dimestore glue. Turns out Kurt is a tv evangelist dramatist or whatever. All but one respondent thought I was asking is he an atheist. Smart crowd tonight with that bunch as usual. Anyway,I still don't know why they are obsessed with him but at least the one guy told me who was. Atheists - why are you obsessed with this guy? Is this another around-the-block like your thing on tv Pats Buchanan Robertson blah blah blah. Can't you keep this tv crap to yourselves? I don't care about Kurt Cameron. For that matter what are you doing here, move over to entertainment.
