When as an atheist you ask a religious question only to have christians spout passages from the bible or point out how impossible certain scientific theories are? I once had a question asking about the gullibility of christians where I used the vastness of the universe to make my point. For some reason this causes a load of em to jump on their soapboxes and tell me about how impossible evolution is!! Right? So creation theory is a hell of alot more realistic, pull the other one, it's got bells on! Oh and to any christians that are answering this, why shout rhyme and verse from a book we don't believe to help you make your point? Do you not realise that just makes you seem more ignorant to the world?

I woke up early this a.m. and couldn't sleep..so I decided to get on the computer (leading me to this site). I have answered random questions....and read MANY responses! I am horrified and want to same ashamed of SO many "would be" Christians out here-answering questions this morning who have NO idea what the Lord actually says re: being humble, loving ALL people, NOT being judgemental, etc.....As Christians dont you know?.God demands that we are actually KNOWLEDGABLE re: what we say-are you actually reading His word and praying before you answer these questions? Did you remove the plank from your eye before you began typing? Yes, we should answer questions here BUT not w/out God in the answer! How many of you that are "Christians" actually pray, read a bible and go to a church regularly. If you DONT, then stop answering questions from a Christian perspective! U R damaging more than helping-you WILL answer to God for the souls you help lossing here! No wonder we are hated!

If No: What are we missing, specifically?

If Yes: Does that not prove that belief in a "higher power" is pointless?

Do you know how embarrassing you sound? We all know that it is an absolute joke. 'I feel god, I have a personal relationship with god, god is all around' is just nonsense and you know it. It is delusion. The human mind is very powerful and we can pretend to believe in anything if we really try. When will you give this up?It is 2007 and your beliefs are akin to those of a man 2000 years ago. I welcome comments from atheists and religous people.

For example, when asked to a christian about failures of prayers, they often claim that..

- God doesn't want to answer for good reason.
- God doesn't feel necessity to grant your wishes.
- God has planned for everything.
- Unanswered prayer is god's will.

Or when "childrens die, they go to heaven directly."

Where in the bible does it say that stuff? Where in bible do you see the quote that says, "god works in mysterious ways, or god answers prayers occassionally only?"

How do christians claim to know things about god and how interesting that it often co-incides with their own wishes and desires?

How do christians claim to know what god wants and thinks?

is it irresponsible for a pastor to preach that last days are here? what if this pastor has made a mistake interpretting all the signs? seriuously, people have said the end is near for as long as i can remember. people come to Christ because they believe it, and then nothing happens, and people lose faith. so is it irresponsible or not?

In Genesis 1:2 we have the Spirit of God hovering above the waters?

So this in itself would give us (1) God and (2) The Spirit of God.

When God said "Let there be light" it was HIs Divine Word or Expression "Let there be" and there was!

The notion of God, who is three-in-one, is part of both the mystery and greatness of God.

God is in essence one while in Persons three. This truth helps us understand God as truly personal and having the capacity to relate to other persons.

How can Jesus be the Son of God?

Scripture affirms that Jesus was conceived supernaturally by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. It does not in any way claim that Jesus was directly God the Father's biological and physical son.

Jesus is the Son in a symbolic manner designating that He was God the Word (his Divine Expression) seen in "Let there be" who became man in order to save humankind from its sin

Polytheism: The concept of god where multiple forms of the One deity can exist at one and the same time Independently of each other but still be considered (as being of) one spirit.

In other words --- If the Son, Father and Holy Ghost were ONE DEITY then blaspheming one part would automatically mean it was against all of the ONE DEITY.

The only way to blaspheme one part of the Trinity without blaspheming the other parts is to have three separate gods which is a Tri-theism or Polytheism.

"And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man (JESUS) will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." (Luke 12:10)
