You know what's funny, alot of atheists who don't believe in God say how horrible He is, even if they claim He does not exist. Sorry dear, you'll only know the answer to that question when you die, spend your energy doing good things rather than busting your brains on questions that won't be answered here, unless of course, you become a genuine Christian, but you can't be a genuine Christian if the sole reason for becoming one is to find out how Christians know what God wants or thinks. Oh shame, another dead end.

All the answers are in the bible. You could say it is the Instruction manual God gave to man.
From what I have read God listens to all prayers. But he only responds to some. Why? Well, Jesus answered this one. He gave an example of two men praying. Luke 18:9-14. He said only one man was worthy because of his attitude in praying. Our prayers should also be in accordance with God's plans for them to be answered. I would imagine Winning a footie match or the lottery probably aren't part of his plans.
Hebrews 11:6 (New King James Version)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Yes he has got things planned. But he also tells us what they are and how it will happen and what he expects us to do.....see Genesis to Revelation!
There is no evidence to suggest that children go to heaven when they die. The only angels spoken about in the bible all played or play really important roles, ones that children could not do. And if you read Genesis and the creation part it talks about God creating Jesus, then along with him, the other angels, then the earth, then animals, then man, so how could there be angels in heaven already if no-one had been created let alone died? In fact the bible only says that man will return to the dust when he dies and will have no thoughts etc...it says nothing about them going up or down according to their deeds.
In Revelation it does talk about rewards for those that have obeyed God, but it refers to this being on the earth, not in heaven.
Hope that has answered some of your questions and if you really want to know more then just pray.....

God is a Higher Being, I don't claim to know what God wants or thinks. Also God wrote about stoning people of other religions in the Old Testament which makes sense since Christianity is the only true reliigon. God also wrote against the disgusting sin of sodomy and having an abortion. HE REVEALED THAT TO ME.
There's one part to the Bible I never understood and that is why a man allowed his daughter to be raped instead of his male guest? God is so strange sometimes. Also Jesus taught against abortion.

You have to remember that >60% of our nation and beyond are "Christian" and they only go to church on holidays...get there Bible information from postings like this. You need to know the difference in who you are talking to...."the world" is just as prevelant in the Church setting and those 'pseudo' christians (many on this site) do more damage than good. I will be the FIRST to admit Im not perfect. I just feel God has forgiven me (many times). I do read my bible, I do pray, and I do go to a church regularly (to learn more about the God I serve) I believe whole heartedly, the "church" is flawed...but GOD is not (its the people, not the Lord). All of your questions are answered in these things....If you could make the same commitment you will find truth...absolute truth. Most people who reject God-reject him BECAUSE of the "Christian" population they have come in contact with and seen....we (Christians) will have to answer for that (to God) one day! I want to say "Im sorry" for all of "us": that have damaged your view of God!

Once you are a true born again Bible believing Christian you will be surprised as to how God tells us things. It is usually through prayer through Jesus Christ and answers are always in the Bible. I always pray about situations in my life and I leave everything in Gods hands and you will be amazed at the things that take place to make things all right.

alot of those thing were made up by the church during the dark ages, medieval times as a way to explain the unexplainable to an illiterate population and to keep them under control. if people figured out that the clergy were spinning tales, the church would loose credibility. its all about control

Just like I know what my imaginary friend,"Ralph," likes or needs or would say, or thinks. Since God is a creation of their imaginations, they thus, are God, and thus can claim to know what god wants and thinks.

Hmmm....good question. Does god want you to eat meat? If you say that the bible doesn't encourage vegatarianism, so it okay. Then we would also conclude that its okay to beat wives and children who are too mouthy because that is what the bible says.
