Do you know how embarrassing you sound?We all know that it is an absolute joke. 'I feel god, I have a personal relationship with god, god is all around' is just nonsense and you know it. It is delusion. The human mind is very powerful and we can pretend to believe in anything if we really try. When will you give this up?It is 2007 and your beliefs are akin to those of a man 2000 years ago. I welcome comments from atheists and religous people.

You are addressing the wrong issue. They believe in god allright. The question is what is the nature of this god? When you try to mix the god of the o.t. with the God of Jesus you wind up with a big mess. Can't be done, impossible. Even Jesus said so. He discredited Moses account of creation in a text that was rejected by the church called The Apocryphon of John. Jesus also rejected that He and the Holy Spirit are God. Jesus set the record straight, but christians are bound and determined to keep messing it up. Non-trinitarians get that part right, but miss the part about the god of Moses being satan. The Spirit of truth within you knows that I speak the truth, listen to her.

I often wonder myself when people come out with silly comments like if they genuinely believe what they're saying.
I think they are just really on having an afterlife - have you never noticed how no believer really thinks they're going to hell. No matter what they do, what god they believe in, what religion they follow every single one of them thinks they're getting into heaven. Hell is for other people.

I find it so pathetic that adults, who were evidently brainwashed into their particular religious sect as impressionable small children, probably by well-meaning parents, could, in the 21st century, still hang on to the crutch that is offered so that they can cope with life and death.
The reality is that all - that's ALL - gods ever to become known to mankind are the result of mankind's own imagination. All gods are invented by man.
The christian god is imaginary. Allah is an invention. Zeus was too! As was Ra and Odin and and and ...

Everywhere around the world people believe in God no matter what their Religion is.
But the best one yet is what I heard last Friday night ..................
...... Went to a concert and afterwards went to a Club in Wellington, New Zealand.
There were about a dozen people there arguing about Religion ... what was the best, who did what, how do you know that ... etc....etc.....etc.
One guy walked away shaking his head saying .....
"THANK GOD I'M AN ANTIEST" ... and left to go to another Bar/Club.

I'm waiting for the honesty out of Christians as well... The two are actually the same question.
When Christians finally speak honestly about how they force the appearance of their faith, they will finally be able to give the whole business up to nonsense. They do not believe with half their hearts that god and the after-life are real... they do not "hear" god...

You mind is very powerful and you can pretend to believe in anything you wish in-spite of any thing you wish and on and on so believe in what you believe and let others believe in what they believe in. I think if you did not have a question in what you believe you would not be so hostel towards the ones who do believe in God. Like me.

well, you think that we are pretending, you're not christian so how do you know that we are pretending, it's our belief, we're just so proud of our religion so we just praise to God. Not only Christian, but other religions as well, they also say "I believe in God/s"
