Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.

Those with 'faith' (== belief in something without any evidence) and a deep personal conviction (== mono-mania) neither need nor care about the beliefs or non-beliefs of others ...

You can not reason with those who do not subscribe to the tenents of reason - nor will a logical / sane argument have effect on the illogical / insane ..

So the answer to your question is :-

"they remain wrapped up in their own little worlds" :-)

.. and I for one have no problem with that == all those of faith can believe whatever they like, so long as they do not try to impose their beliefs on me (and I will not try to impose my beliefs on them).

The moment they refuse to adhere to this tenet, I will oppose them with every means at my disposal until they abandon their beliefs and accept mine.

Jesus exists as much as Shakespeare exists.
