Religions always change because someone doesn't agree with the current version. There are almost 3000 variations on christianity alone today. Everybody makes up his own stories and interpretations.
In the early days there were no bibles or scripts for everyone, so everybody had to believe what they were told to believe. Therefore it was easy for religions to change or disappear completely. But most of the times religions changed because there had been an unfriendly invasion or a new ruler.

Yes, and it may not be as silly you think. Personally, I think that a man named Jesus probably did actually live, sans miracles of course. Jesus may very well have been a very human guy, who just decided that the old jewish religion was outdated and no longer useful or applicable to the present world. Perhaps he just decided to "fulfill the scriptures" in hopes that his new religion would replace judaism. Many messiah types have attempted (many successfully) to create new religions as off-shoots of previous religions.

Hmmm.. somewhat close.. NOT!!...

I do think that Moses had more laws on the tablets he carried down from the mountain and then broke.. and the Jewish people only got 10 "basic" commandments to guide them through the time it would take to adjust them to being free of slavery.

Hee hee, you are so funny. Come on you can do better than that? Does it make you feel better to put down others. Jesus came so that we could have LIFE. Good day.

That totally makes sense. To be honest, I've never thought of that. The Bible is truly only a book that attempts to teach morals so that the human population continues to act "civilized." Pure genius. Thank you for making my day!!

Christ's rules are actually harder to follow--loving your enemy--never seeing sin in another human being--never having a lustful thought--it just seems easier because no Christian bothers to obey Christ.
