Has anyone entertained the idea that they might be as dumb or even dumber than humans?

Maybe these aliens have a fear of being abducted by humans.

So everytime I see a pretty girl or a large amount of money and think wow the things I'd like to do with that I'm sinning?

Considering I'm only human I'd have to take drugs to not think sinful thoughts, the kind that knocks me out not the endorphin kind.

I'm sure he wants us to learn to control ourselfs but why deliver me onto temptation with such nice eye candy, Gods hell on a fella isn't he? :)

I can't sleep some nights because I'm worried about death. When I think about I my heart starts pounding and I panic. For some reason it barely bothers me during the day. I'm worried that there won't be anything next and that my whole world will just end; it's horrifying! I want so bad to be religious and to have faith in an afterlife and a god, but I just can't be convinced!

I expect a lot of unfounded answers as usual, but use a little logic, then reread the scriptures.

I've been in a pit of an unstable mentality for six months now. Ive had a complete phychological breakdown and I haven't been the same since. I was on the brink of suicide, and I read in a book I was to find God. I am very conflicted, as I came to think that I was an Atheist, seeing as things in the world just made so much more sense w/out God. Ive said atrocious blasphemies against God and all religions, but now find myself completely alone, searching and searching for a reason to keep going.. something to live for....is there a God? Does he know what I'm going through? Will I ever the confident, good sense of humor person I used to be again? Or am I stuck in this mental hell that I've created for myself?

Alright, so, I've been reading some accounts online of students being told to remove necklaces/shirts etc which show a symbol of their religion or beliefs. The majority of the instances I am reading about are involving Non-Christian students being told to remove necklaces that show a Pentacle, Star of David etc. I was told in high school that I needed to remove my Pentacle. I refused and was sent to detention for 3 days after school. Do you think that school staff have the right to tell students to remove said items? Note: we are talking about public schools, not private.

ABC is in the Atheist frame of mind, tomorrow night 20/20 will have a 2 hour special on the story of a small town and heavy discrimination against Atheism, hopefully it will not be as biased as the "debate" they showed on ABC Nightline's: Face Off

Ever since I was very little, I wanted to go to a certain college. I was told by many that it wouldn't happen. They said it was too competitive and even if I tried, I would fail. I set out to prove them wrong. I tried and tried and prayed and prayed it would happen. Everytime I prayed I thought even more strongly that this was where God wanted me to go. After four long years of high school, I got accepted. Now, after all these years of trying, my parents tell me it won't happen. We can't afford it. I've filled out literally hundreds of scholarship forms. I've not received a single one except for a 7500$ a year scholarship from the school. This will no where near cover the 40000$+ a year fees. Why would God even let me get in, let me get SO close to fulfilling a dream I've had since childhood, then rip it away right from under me like a cruel childhood bully, laughing and mocking me? This is not the kind God I knew growing up as a Catholic child.

and the Nazis / Fascists / Imperialists had won, and their leaders had been declared gods by the victorious nations, would Christians still criticize me for refusing to bow down to a 'god'.

If not, then why do you criticize my decision to reject the 'god' that was forced on Europe by Rome, and on the Americas by Spain?

Do you not recognize the similarities to the origins of your own beliefs, or have you forgotten?

Could it be possible that Jesus was a thief?
I've been trying to examine Jesus personality lately, and I came up with this theory. From a psychological viewpoint, one can notice that Jesus was so preoccupied with wealth and power. It's like he had a fixation on rich men, knowing that he came from a poor family. If you examine his personality well, you will know what I'm speaking of. He calls himself "king of the kings" at various times.
He says that "it is very hard for a rich man to enter heaven".
Could it be possible that Jesus played a trick to grab people's money and take power?
One of his disciples was an accountant. He might have helped him with money issues. He knew how to choose his disciples. The proof to what I'm saying is today's money-grabbing catholics.
Could Jesus and the 12 Apostles be another version of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves?
Just a thought.
