I expect a lot of unfounded answers as usual, but use a little logic, then reread the scriptures.

>>If prayer is worship, and worship is for God alone<<

Except prayer is not necessarily worship. In fact, worship is not necessarily worship. Seriously, friend, you need to read the dictionary.

You equate prayer with worship, and herein lies your error. Prayer is communication between a temporal being and a spiritual being and is not the same thing as worship, which must be offered to God alone. I can pray directly to God, as I do when I say the Our Father, or I can communicate with Our Lady and ask her to speak to her Son for me, as I do when a pray a Hail Mary. This is not idolatry, anymore than it is idolatry to ask my friend to pick me up at the airport. It is simply a recognition that the saints in heaven are in the presence of God and can assist us in the way a friend might assist us. Or do you believe that saints are less capable of helping us when in heaven than they are on earth?

We cannot. God has said not to pray to or worship anyone else. It is unrighteous and unfair to our Creator, and it serves no purpose and will cause great disappointment and despair as anyone else we were to pray to or worship would not be able to fulfill our needs or respond to us the way that we need, the way that only God can.

Exactly...that's why God says in Exodus and Deuteronomy, "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God."

So all this worshipin of money, cars, people, things that give external happiness, but no internal fulfillment, is wrong for Christians to partake in. The only being I pray to and worship is God. What has anything else done for me like my God has done? Nothing.

Well, it's plain and simple. There is more to worship than prayer. You can sing and worship, read your bible and worship, you can worship in anything you do. It's what you worship. If you spend more time watching T.V. than spending with God, you are worshipping the T.V. because your putting it before everything else.

Worship is for God. Prayer is for anyone "up there". Don't confuse the two. Worship is an emotion, like love (only much stronger), or it can refer to the exhibition of that love. You can love someone, you can be busy loving someone, you can talk to someone, and you can talk about that love - but they are separate.

Prayer is an action.
