No. There must be evidence; personal feelings, not being based on sound data, are not permissible.

Many women got in the car with Ted Bundy because it "felt" okay to do so. The end result, however, was very different from the initial feeling.
What's my point? Only that our feelings may seem true for a time but they can't really be the ultimate determining factor.
Why would you want to believe something that's vague and incoherent? That only sounds like it would be more confusing than it's worth.
On the other hand, if you have clarity then it becomes much easier to understand why you believe or dis-believe.

As with any discipline, it requires interest in the subject, then a studying session accompanied by some practical application. The idea is the same. But first, one needs the urge, or inspiration or just some idle interest in the subject in order to make it a part of your life. (This goes for anything).
Some things, like raising a child, are very commonplace, and the resources are there, and although we seemed hard-wired to provide for our off-spring, not all parents do. Can you raise a child on feelings alone?
Also as in any discipline, there are times when you become sick of it, since you studied so much, or you hit a wall or come to some obstacle that seems insurmountable.
Life is like a discovery. There are some "eurekas" along the way. But mostly just plain hard work.
Relationships take work. So does a life of faith. It is not an easy path, as you can tell by this site.

That sounds remarkably like the basis of faith.... funny that. Trust your instincts, I have for some years now and things keep getting better. Besides, often the reason it's incoherent is because you need to advance spiritually more before you are ready to understand more, after all, life is one big learning experience, right?

i think u should spend some more time trying to understand what it really means before u accept a vauge concept. if it feels true than there must be soemthing to it that u really need to understand it properly before u accept it. a vauge concept is like looking at only a part of the picture...
cause sometimes after u get to see the entire picture ur opinion might change.
so just to make sure that u really feel that that is true or right u need to undrstand it and analyze and then accept it.

You tell me. I have a vague feeling that you are a very nice and wonderful (not to mention beautiful) person. It FEELS true to me. Are there any reasons BESIDES my personal feelings that that is not the case?

No reason. Only believe vague and incoherent things if they're from the Bible.

Logic and reasoning doesn't always win. A combination of both would produce the most accurate solution to this. However, if I had to choose between my instinct and my logic, I would have to go with instinct. I do not know enough about the world as a human to understand it logically, but my intuition might...

I don't know. I guess it would depend on what you were trying to conceptualize. I think that when your rationale is in conflict with your feelings, it is necessary to look deeper in order to understand the reason why. Sometimes in that manner you can understand that the concept is flawed, or you can find out that you were holding on to a false belief.

If it FEELS like the right thing to do or believe......then perhaps there is no reason to discount your personal feelings.
We all prefer coherent and concise explanations for everything, but sometimes we can feel that something is true, before we logically understand it.

If something feels true to you, then it is worth investigating further, but I wouldn't actively believe in something without a legitimate reason to do so.
