I'm somewhat tired of hearing insults from one belief to the next. Compliment a religion (or multiple religions, or atheism, etc) besides your own. I'd like to hear what you have to say. Please nothing negative.

I admire atheism for its emphasis on logic. I admire Hinduism for the beauty of its religious art. I've always liked Judaism for its stress on God, culture, and learning. I admire Wicca for its closeness to nature. I like the Episcopalians and Unitarians for their emphasis on tolerance and social justice. I am moved by the level of devotion shown by many different religious groups, including the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims, Pentecostals, Mennonites and many more.

What you admire is not an admiration for other's belief systems at all. You dont mention anything about what belief you admire. Nice music is not a belief. Many religions do missionary work. Many contribute to relief efforts. Those are humanitarian traits to be admired. ETA: I admire most of the earth centered religions (Pagan) because the way they respect nature. Nature and earth are alive and breathing and without respect, we will all soon die off. I do find it amusing though that many people that worship the Christian God give a rat's a$$ about the environment when supposedly it was god that created the earth. You would think they would appreciate the beauty and try harder to get involved in saving it. ETA again: After reading a statement below, I have to scream. Something about people that don't accept Jesus are misguided?? According to who? You? Yet another thumper that thinks her way is the only way and is intolerant of other thoughts. Sorry about my rambling but it drives me insane to actually see people that think like that. People like you are the reason for hate and violence. Now go away.

I am a Celtic Pagan.

True Christians try to be kind to people.

Islam believes in respecting others and giving to charity.

Buddhists believe in peace and harmony.

Atheists tend to have given religion a lot of thought before deciding that religion has no meaning to them. That's better than never questioning your beliefs.

Jew's value knowledge.

Hindu's have some understanding of the same cycle of life and energy that my faith does.

Satanists are usually brave-they have to be as their faith tends to be condemned by just about everyone.

Sikhs are often very wise. The most knowledgeable man I know is a Sikh.

Shinto's admire nature which again gives them things in common with my faith.

Islam: It's more internally consistent than most of its Abrahamic cousins, and its basic spiritual emphases seem to be more in the spirit of honest love of God than, for instance, Christianity. The few Muslims I have met in person and online seem to be reasonably good and non-fanatic people.

Satanism: I think there's something good there. It has a refreshingly honest view of life, it's brutally realistic, it doesn't promise things it can't deliver. It's proud, intelligent, and bettering -- if done correctly.

Atheism: Because it's simplicity and logic, you really can't top it there. That and all the Atheists I have met seem to be some of the smartest and wittiest people. Not to mention some of the best looking. ;-)

I am a Theravada Buddhist

Christianity: Jesus taught good morals, and if people stick to what he taught during his life then they become wonderful people.

Islam: It teaches humility and grace, some of the wisest people I've met are Muslims...

Judaism: They have a passion for knowledge and understanding, Jewish people are also fun to hang around with and have great food. Mmmm, Hamentashen!

Hinduism: Very tolerant religion, and very deep. You could spend your entire life studying it and never learn it all...

Paganism: They teach respect for nature and our fellow human beings

Shinto: An immensly beautiful and simple faith, I love it so much :)

Satanism: Logical and efficient, as well as progressive...

Taoism: It is so deep, they fit so much wisdom into a book no longer than a child's bedtime story...

Confucianism: Gotta love the logic :)

I'm not Catholic, but I will say they certainly help out more than anybody else, it's a part of their religion and they get a lot done.

Buddhists tend to be very easygoing and uncluttered, and focus more on the state of the soul than the body, which is healthier as a result, anyway.

This goes out to any religion out there: It is awesome when people dedicate themselves so much to their chosen faith that they are at peace with themselves, the world around them and their choices. When they don't have the need to be petty or cruel to others about their choices, and can thoroughly enjoy and relish in their spirituality.

I can't possibly pick on religion which idealizes this, each religion is like this in its own right.

I think all religions can be avenues to the Ultimate Truth, and just because they all look at it differently doesn't mean they aren't all tapping into the same thing. If a certain religion works for someone that's fine with me, as long as they let me be too:)

I am a Christian.

I think that the Buddhist are awesome! I think they are the most peaceful of religions. When they say they are about peace and non violence, they really mean it. They aren't push overs though, just true to their belief.

I still think they need to find Jesus.
