"All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you.

In my opinion, the world hates Christianity more and more because of all the obnoxious Christians out there. Maybe the bible did predict it, but I don't think the hostility towards Christians has anything at all to do with Jesus or their doctrine.
It seems to me that Christianity has evolved into a sort-of elitist club. They practice hate towards homosexuals in Jesus' name, while loving the divorced or greedy. The current trend in "witnessing" is leaving tracts instead of tips. Also, it seems that many Christians are more concerned with their status in church than with their Lord. I'm not saying that all Christians are this way, but the obnoxious ones are soiling the title.

Christians aren't the enemy of the world. Sure, there's 'bad' Christians that make the true Christians look evil. People hate us because the world is evil. Read your Bible, especially about the coming tribulation. It predicts the future which I feel we are living in right now. Amazing that thousands of years ago, things that were predicted are coming true. How could anyone doubt after reading that?

Honestly, what makes you think that Christians are so important that the whole world would put so much energy into hate? Believe it or not, I go weeks at a time without thinking much about Christians other than their persistence when they try to push pamphlets at me in the parking lot of the grocery store.

I understand that there are great predjudices and they're not right. You really mustn't think that the entire world hates you or any other Cristian. There are many, many people out there who have seen the horrors of what hatred can lead to; I think those people out weigh the bigoted ones. Peace.

I don't think people see Christians as the enemy of the world so much as people get tired of others telling them what to do and how to live their lives. I think the negative feelings are aimed toward the fundamentalists and evangelicals.

Jesus said "At first the world hated Me, so too will they hate you. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as it's own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you 'servants are not greater than their master' If they persecuted Me they will persecute you also" John 15:18-20. "They hated Me without reason" John 15:25
"We are in the world, but not of it" It's Christ in us that is hated, it is His truth, and His Light, His Word, that exposes sin & wickedness, that's why that hate it, as they live and walk in darkness.
That's why they attack us because as people, they don't even know us, yet they hate us. Same with Jesus,and He's God's own Son,Perfect.and without sin, yet they persecuted, attacked Him, even crucifying Him trying to destroy Him. But praise God, He has the Victory!! He rose from the grave and overcame the world.
And so do we, have the victory in Christ Jesus and the power to overcome evil with good. Christ gave us this authority.

The world doesn't hate Christianity. It is disturbing that they deny science and try to take real science out of schools. It is disturbing that so many are intolerant. But most Christians are just normal people.
