I just saw in a similar thread that people were saying "if a man's breasts are larger than a woman's and he wears no shirt, he is sinning."

I'm sorry, but how the hell do you figure that? Please describe what makes breasts (of any size) a sin?

Only in the past 2,000 years has his spirituality been perverted by monotheist religion. Now we face extinction by global warming. Is this not totally and completely the result of the monotheist religions?

Hitler was responsible for the death of c. 10 million people in a combination of Holocaust, POW camps and WWII in general.

Stalin was responsible for the death of c. 15 million people mainly in the aftermath of WWII and his supression of the Russian peoples for the following 10 years.

God and religion in particular Christianity, Islam and Juddaism has been cited as the cause of / reason for the death of c. 100 million in a killing spree running throughout the ages including Crusades, English Civil War, French Wars of Religion, Jihad, Reconquista, Reformation, Hitler's justification for the Holocaust, Arab / Israeli wars, Terrorism, Ethnic cleansing in Bosnia and Serbia, Northern Ireland..... the list really does go on.

So how can anyone deny that God (and religion) is the biggst war criminal of all?

In my life time I have believed in several different religions. Religion is an obsession of mine. It's driven me mad to the point where sometimes I consider dying just to get on the other side to find out whose right and whose wrong. I have never attempted suicide for the motive of curiosity about the after life. But I've considered it. What do I do to get my mind off religion? Someone please help me!

My husband and I have been estranged from his mother and step father for 8 months now because they didn't get their way once with us. They have been sending birthday packages for the kids and I have been emailing pictures but no messages. Besides that their has been no contact. They sent a package today addressed to me with my maiden name and not my hubbies name whom I've been married to for 12 years now. It was from FedEx. And they said she gave them the name and info to be printed on the label. I think it's for my daughter whose birthday was yesterday. I want to return it to sender because of how it was addressed. Would that be the Christian thing to do? I feel like God thinks she's being silly and wouldn't care if I sent it back. She will be charged the fee to have to send it back since I didn't open it. What do yo think?

One of you posted the following to another question:

"God is perfect. Lying is a sin. Sin can not be in the presence of God"

This would be a rule that God can't sin. Does he have to follow that rule? Who made the rule? Who defines sin? If it was God, he can change either.

Two questions actually, I am a Christian and have not understood a few of the Catholic doctrines. First why do you have to confess sins to a preist, and second, why do you say memorized prayers. I had a Catholic roommate last year and he could never really explain it to me. Thanks for your help!

According to Christian belief, God created absolutely everything, correct? This would mean that God created the devil. If God created the devil then he created something/someone evil. This you can't blaim on free will because in order to choose between good and evil, evil has to exist. Therefore if this 'God' created everything, he created evil which would mean that he is not 100% 'good'.

My argument is that I believe God to be a fictional character, partially based upon the statements above. He is a contradiction in and of Himself.

We talk about our jobs, children, health, school, movies, politics and sports but we are hesitant to speak to others about a personal relationship with Christ. Why are we so afraid? Why are we so ashamed? Why do we choose to be silent? Why?????

It is a rule in the logic of evidence that the more unusual, the more important, is the fact sought to be established, the greater in amount, the more precise and conclusive in character, must be the evidence required to establish it. An unusual fact, a fact of vast significance, a fact involving life, reputation, can be established only by a great amount of evidence - evidence that will bear scrutiny and analysis.
That will be the case of the Resurrection of Jesus.
The thing affirmed as a fact is unnatural and unreasonable, according to every canon of human experience, impossible.
If it were really true that Christ rose from the dead, the world would know the exact date on which the resurrection took place. The date of a fact of such momentous importance could never be forgotten by the mind of man. But the Christian church has never known the date of Christ's resurrection.
Moreover, we find the NT writers who deal with it contradicting one another.
So, its CRUCI-FICTION right ?

many hermaphrodites only have male/female characteristics on the outside, but are the opposite as far as their chromosome development? and thus they are literally born thinking they are men when they look like a woman, and vice versa? how would you address these people for wanting to be with members of apparently the same sex?
