Depends on the religion. Most monotheistic Middle Eastern religions are very much against it.

Most other religions don't really care and/or are accepting. For example, most Pagan religions.

It isn't a problem with most forms of Buddhism, Shinto, Taoism, Hellenism, UU, Pagan and Wiccan religions, Ancient Roman religious views, and some forms of Christianity.

I don't know the views of Hinduism, but most far eastern religions have no problem with homosexuality.

Primarily the main religions who have significant problems are the Judeo/Christian/Islamic religions.

There are many religions that accept homosexuals among their members. This includes some Christian denominations. However, of those religions that accept homosexuals, very few allow them to hold leadership possitions.

doesn't matter what religion

I know Mormons that are homosexual and don't care what people think, and still go to Church like normal people.

I know Catholics that are homosexual and still go to Church.

The problem is that they cannot admit this stuff to a higher authority like a Bishop or Pastor because if they do that, then chances are that they'll set up a meeting, and how much this is a SIN, just pray to God and turn straight...have wife and kids... (YAWN!)

This world is too big, not everyone follows all the rules and commandments, only a select few in this society we live in take it seriously and want to achieve perfection.

No religions that espouse a belief in a supreme being like God or Allah say homosexuality is OK -- they all denounce homosexuality as being an abomination and a sin. It's amusing that paganism and wicca accept it as part of nature because homosexuality flies in the face of nature. It's a law of nature that animals have an instinct for survival, and it's also a law of nature that animals reproduce because of this instinct. The problem is male and male cannot reproduce, and neither can female and female, so how can anyone say that homosexuality is natural when their sexual preference leads to extinction?

In Christianity, it is not.

In the Bible, Romans 1:26-27, 32 Paul is very specific, “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. (32) Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”

In 1 Corinthians 6:9, Paul wrote, “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders”

Unitarians don't care about it, nor do a lot of the Hindu deities as I understand it.

Forget religion. Devil worshipping is a religion. I am a Christian. I believe Jesus is the Son of God and came to die and rose again for the sinner. It doesn't matter what religion says about homosexuality, it is what the bible says, ie. it's an abomination.
