According to Christian belief, God created absolutely everything, correct? This would mean that God created the devil. If God created the devil then he created something/someone evil. This you can't blaim on free will because in order to choose between good and evil, evil has to exist. Therefore if this 'God' created everything, he created evil which would mean that he is not 100% 'good'.

My argument is that I believe God to be a fictional character, partially based upon the statements above. He is a contradiction in and of Himself.

I am not assuming that god created the devil Himself as an evil being but my point is that he DID create the angel who became the devil. If that angel became the devil, the angel obviously had the evil inside of him.

Christians obviously don't know their own god....

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, AND CREATE EVIL: I the Lord do all these things.

Read your bible, people!

God created everything AT THE BEGINNING, in a good state. The Bible states in the creation, over and over, that "God saw that it was good."

God did not author evil (which occured after the Creation)
Evil is 100% the free choice of the devil, demons and sinful people who CHOOSE 100% on their own to pursue it.

Source: Hebrew & Greek Scriptures. (not the Quran, thank you).

God through the pre-human Jesus created all things.

However, just because your parents had you, raised you correctly does that mean that your parents are at fault when as an adult you rob a bank?
In the same manner, the being that became Satan was created correctly. He like all others had been given free will. He chose poorly and used it for selfish purposes.

If you had a grown child, perhaps a 30 year old son, and because you loved your son, you gave a sports car BMW to him because he always wanted one, and because so far he had always been responsible -- is it then your fault that he kills himself or others by speeding?

There is a discussion about free will and how dangerous it is, etc.

Bravo!!!!!

Today the thought-provoking questions are popping out this is what I like to see....

Abidijah: How can you make a ridiculous argument like that and every be allowed to type in another answer on this board again??

First of all..to say something like that about your ALMIGHTY ALL KNOWING God..You are contradicting your own beliefs. Because God is all knowing and apparently knows the future of everything so he knew that the angel would become a fallen angel....etc...and STILL allowed it to happen...So once again proving that your God of the bible is created in man's image with the obvious falliacy of men.

And Barbara Bush, did give birth to a president.....she gave birth to whatever George Bush becomes in his life. Whether he was born a full grown middle aged president or became one.....She still gave birth to a president...If you have a hard time with that then put it like this "Barbara bush gave birth to the future president"

God did not created the Devil.

God created the spirit creature who later became the devil.

George Bush's mother did not give birth to the president; she gave birth to a person who later became president.

ADDITIONAL: In the beginning there was no evil within the devil. The statement at James 1:14 & 15 applies to spirit beings with equal force as to humans:

"But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death."

God did indeed create EVERYTHING. when satan was created he was created an angel, but he decided he could be god as well as God. He got full of himself and was thrown out on his butt. when God created him his name was Lucifer and he was the most beautiful angel, he is the angel of light. But now that he rebelled against God he wants to bring as many of Gods children down with him as possible because he knows his time is short. so God did not create evil, that is impossible for him to do.

Your assumption is that God created the Devil as an evil being. That assumption is false.

If you read through Revelation 12-
7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Satan was originally an angel, and some credit him with being the greatest angel, who was so proud of his own glory that he tried to usurp God's throne. Pride was ever the Devil's undoing. God created Satan as the most wonderful angel, and Satan got proud of how great he was and decided he wanted to be one better. That is not God's doing, Satan brought it on himself.

Quran Verse
002.021: O mankind! worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that ye may ward off (evil).

002.022: Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).

Quran sent down by God to Prophet Muhammad (saas), the Messenger of Allah:
002.023 : And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.
002.024: But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith.

002.029: He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things.

004.017: Forgiveness is only incumbent on Allah toward those who do evil in ignorance (and) then turn quickly (in repentance) to Allah. These are they toward whom Allah relenteth. Allah is ever Knower, Wise.
006.157: Or lest ye should say: "If the Book had only been sent down to us, we should have followed its guidance better than they." Now then hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your Lord,- and a guide and a mercy: then who could do more wrong than one who rejecteth Allah's signs, and turneth away therefrom? In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away.

In what sense can it be said that God creates evil? Certainly not in the sense of his creating wickedness or moral badness, for it is utterly impossible for him to do anything wrong. “It is impossible for God to lie.” We are assured, “Good and upright is God: therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.” Addressing him the psalmist stated: “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne: lovingkindness and truth go before thy face.” And Moses sang of this theme: “For I will proclaim the name of God: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. The Rock, his work is perfect; for all his ways are justice: a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he.”—Deut. 32:3, 4; Ps. 25:8; 89:14, AS; Heb. 6:18, NW.
