because people are well closed minded. Although I think you may ruffle some feathers with this question.

Well personally i can't understand the grunts and growls on the vocals although im sure they have really great lyrics (probally about sex with dead corpses) but i dont want to have to keep looking at the lyric sheet. Besides i dont care for that flavor of metal that probally be what the persecution gangs will be playing when they start killing the Christians during the tribulation so if i'm able to enjoy such *pleasant* sonic torture in the future why waste my time now. I prefer metal that will motivate me to not be afraid to die by the gun or the sword bands such as
Manowar /Primal Fear/Aska/Hammerfall/Blind Guardian along with the new breed of southern rock bands that make you feel you could stare down a gun pointing at your head and be fearless emough to tell the killer to pull the trigger. You cant kill my spirit it belongs to God!

About 10 years ago, I saw Metallica with Cannibal Corpse opening. Metallica were great.
I won't say that Cannibal Corpse sucked, but I realized that night that I was crossing a new threshold in my life, in terms of what I can listen to for any length of time, and what I can't.
Sheryl Crow, here I come.

Never heard of the bands you mentioned, but I as a Catholic Christian listen to all kinds of music. I love rock and roll like AC/DC, Ozzy, all of them, but Iam old school and only like the bands from the 60's70's and 80's

Whether you are "Christian" or not, everyone has different tastes in music. Would it be the same to say for a Hindu not listening to country music? Would you ask them why and then justify it by saying, "It's just music created by God's creations"?

well, maybe because of the lyrics
music is one of the biggest bad influences the devil uses to get into peoples minds
of course music came ones from GOD
infact the devil/ ones an angel was the director of the choir in heaven, until he thought, that he should be way more than just the director. he was the most handsome angel in heaven, leading millions of angels to sing and to play there instruments, but than it got to his mind, that he should just like GOD. thats when the war in heaven started. he devided angels. made them be on his side. but of course GOD is the king. so he cast the devil (which name i forgott, but you can read it in the bible revalation) and the ones that where with him out of heaven (to the earth).
so thats the problem of today, he uses his talent of music to bring people on his side, in a beautiful way. and sure, it looks not harmful at all.
don't you feel, how music can change your mood?
isn't cleaning so much easier with music or jogging...
music is a big part of our lifes. impossible to live without it...
and the devil knows it.
music changes attitude.
music can change many things.
IT CAN CHANGE WHO YOU ARE
and thats why christians don't listen to some music.
because they choise who they want to be.
well i hope i could help a little (=

I don't know all these bands but the names creep me out. I don't know about being a Christian listening to it but usually we want to hear something uplifting. All I got to do is watch the news to hear all that.

Because A. I never heard of them and B. they sound like the bands my sister listens to and I don't like her music choices. If I don't like something, I don't listen to it.

A little trick I sometimes do, that it appears none of the answerers do. I LISTEN TO THE MUSIC first and THEN I make a judgement about it.
Try it! It's fun!

I've never heard of those bands, but they don't sound like anything I'd be interested in.
Does it matter to you what music Christians listen to? I certainly am not interested in dictating to you what sort of music you ought to listen to, why would I?
