I think I understand where your coming from. Man has always been aware of his spiritual nature and the true existence of God in everything. As a teenager I had a transcendent experience and then other expereinces for years afterwards. Although the experience happened after praying in a cathedral, in all the experiences I have had religion has never come into it, In the transcendent experience I was aware of being part of everything, the one and the many at the same time, an incredible love permeating everything. My impression from that is that this universal consciousness is part of everything, we are part of it and therefore we are part of everything. The devision that monotheistic religions make between God and man and the rest of nature is a false concept. We have treated the planet as if we are the rulers rather than just part of it. The creation myth I think is responsible for this attitude. We have abused the planet and the rest of life because of our mistaken beliefs that God gave us the planet to do with what we want. This is absolutely not the case. The proof is in what we are seeing happening now.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, humans are not the cause of global warming. Our sun's twin , a brown dwarf sun, has an orbit that brings it into our solar system about every 3600 years. This is the true cause of global warming. The North and South Poles are melting from the bottom up, not the top down. Our sun is heating up and the molten iron core of the earth is warming up. Our atmosphere is actually cleaner than it was 100 years ago. Just about everyone had to burn wood for heat and light. Most everyone uses electricity and or gas now. It's really common sense. Learn to question everything and find out the truth for yourself.

Thanks for a very interesting question. But before offering an answer, I need to know two things.First, do you think, and are you suggesting, that monothesitic religions are the only source of global warming? But, second, why do you think they are a source of global warming in the first place? Without knowing why you think this in first place, how can anyone reasonably respond?

Where did you get your historical facts? The last I heard the oldest excavations of human settlement are only about 8,000 years old.
According to the Bible monotheistic religion is as old as Adam.

Maybe it has to do with people assuming that something is true simply because they believe in it. You have no evidence whatsoever that ancient man worshiped the earth or natural forces, that they practiced that worship for 30,000 years, or that monotheism is 2000 years old (a claim that is patently false). That kind of thinking is what has put us in this position - speculation taken as evidence.

back while i became right into a Christian, our church might clarify away such issues with the aid of stating the scripture that asserts the earth "became into void and without style"; their rationalization became into that this void state lasted for an undetermined volume of time, and all such occurrences that required complicated examination have been conveniently swept under this scriptural rug. additionally, I undergo in innovations being informed in church that some meteoric impacts have been component to God's technique in the flood of Noah's time--the scripture the place it talks appropriate to the waters breaking forth from the deep; supposedly, meteor impacts have been had to shake those waters loose. stupid motives, i comprehend, yet that's what our church taught.

Man has worshiped God, gods and goddesses for all past history. Even the sun was a sun god with a name. The crescent moon god Allah became the god of Islam. Semiramus gave many names to gods and goddesses to revolt against the One true God. She was the wife of Noah's grandson Nimrod. Her son was called Tammuz.
And where do you get 30,000 years? My written history comes from the Bible. Where does your written history come from?

You can't say global warming is caused by religion. But both have the same drive: ignorance.

It might be. We were not very nice to our planet, that's for sure.
BUT
It could also be just a little hick-up of the universe, and we're making a big fuss about it. Universe is changing, so why should our planet be an exception?
