I would really appreciate this. I am doing a project in school on this religion, and any help would be great. Everything about the religion, and please no ignorance, debates, or arguments, just facts and true information.

Why am I such a Contradiction?

• Had very obvious spiritual and psychic experiences.
• Most profound experience was a transcendent experience after going to St David’s Cathedral and praying for guidance.
• During a very lengthy and serious illness, drove hundreds of miles around Britain visiting cathedrals
• Do not accept Jesus as my Saviour
• Do not accept Jesus as the Son of God
• Absolutely adamant that Jesus existed and the miracles occurred
• Absolutely certain that the Bible is very important but often mistranslated and misunderstood.
• Absolutely certain that all religions originate from genuine encounters between God and man.
• Not brought up with a religion
• Around my house there are candle holders with Mary and Jesus on them. On my bedroom wall are two small wooden crosses and a plaque from my great grandmother that says “God hath Heard My Supplication.” I also have my grandmother’s rosary hanging up somewhere in the house.
• In my bedside cabinet is my Bible. Where ever I’ve lived I’ve taken the Bible with me.
• I repeatedly say I am not a Christian
• Am the first to question and criticise Christians.

It’s almost as if I am a Christian and am not a Christian at the same time.

when the parents screw up it's usually the baby that takes the fall in instances of drug and alcohol abuse and incest as well. why doesn't god punish the parents in stead in these situations and let the babies develop normally? i think you'd have a lot fewer cases of these instances if people realized they would be the ones deformed from participating in these actions. don't you.

I was raised in a catholic/Christian family and I've always been going to church. I took the decision of becoming a Christian when I was 16 yrs old in a summer camp but my boyfriend whom I met when I was 15 said he wasn't ready to commit himself and he dragged me to my old habits (it was my fault too) and when I was 18 we became sexually active... i regret it. Now I feel like a hypocrite and I want to live a Christian life from now on.. but what can I do? my boyfriend and I have been together for 5 yrs and It's going to be terrible hard to stop all we do now...I want to but he won't stop I know it. I want to follow God because he's the most important in my life...so what should I do? is it too late to change my life? I cant get married Im in college and I dont want to live in sin.

The government has in many cases given exception to religious groups to use drugs as part of their rituals that would otherwise be deemed illegal. However they are much less open to allowing drugs that are considered illegal to be used by ailing people who could benefit from the drug.

Why is an imaginary belief system more important than health and qulaity of life?

Santeria is a secret religion that contacts spirits and deities to tell the future of anyone willing to pay. Believers also sacrafice animals as an offering to these deities so that the animal's blood makes them more powerful. Are these spirits or deities really demons? If they are demons, can demons predict the future accurately?

and the fact that they spend over $200,000.00 per month on utilities...several people responded that this may only be a portion of the church budget...and they are sure that a large percentage is still spent on missions, etc...

That may be so...but, they could spend $200,000.00 more per month if they were better stewards of the money.

Question is this...what would Jesus do? Would he build a huge building and spend so much on utilities...to reach the people in the wealthy suburbs who probably have many opportunities to hear about Jesus...or would he take the money and give to the poor and preach in the inner cities where churches have folded because of lack of financial funding...and reach the poor and homeless?

are they to live out their life as hermaphrodites? are they only allowed to be with other hermaphrodites? or are they to take the path chosen by their doctor? what happens in that case when they grow up to be a man, but want to be a woman, or vice versa? will god punish them because a doctor made the wrong choice?

Non-believers use reason, science, and physical evidence (or lack thereof) to argue their point. Believers use faith to argue their point. I feel that non-believers have the stronger argument, but as long as we are using two separate bases of reasoning, I know that in this life, I will never be able to prove the believers wrong and they will never be able to prove me wrong. We can argue until we are blue in the face. Why don’t we all just get along, and then see what happens when we die?

have dinosaur remains been found in the europian, mediterranean, african, indian, western asian areas? the reason i ask, is i don't believe that i have ever heard that they have, mainly in the americas, canada, and the ice caps---if the bible was written by people in the middle east, maybe they didn't know what a dinosaur was, although before Noah built the ark, there was a land of giants...

i was just mulling this over a six pack last night...y'all help me out.
Thanks!
P.S. cheers, Riegan!

I have often heard quoted on here, along with my understanding of Christianity, that God could cure the ill, feed the starving and stop wars etc, if he wanted. Why then would you chose to follow a God with so little benevolence or humanity. A god that has the power and yet CHOOSES not feed a starving baby? A God that chooses not to house the homeless? A God that could bring World peace but Chooses not to?

If the bible is 'the good book' why does it give clear direction that rape (even of children), murder, slavery and sacrifice are not only 'OK' but are actually encouraged? How can this is right?

I am not going to list all of the passages, but some examples being:

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT - If a man is caught raping a young girl he must buy her fromher father and then marry her??

Exodus 21:7-11 NLT - Rules of what is allowable with Sex Slaves??

Numbers 31:7-18 NLT - Approving the rape of vrgins??

Judges 11:29-40 NLT - Jephthah has to sacrifice his own daughter to thank god for allowing him to win a war...sounds like a pact with the devil more like....

Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT - god tells them to burn an entire town to the ground.

Leviticus 20:13 NAB - Kill homos.
Leviticus 20:10 NLT - Kill those who commit adultery

Etc. My question therefore is: How is it possible that the book you lot follow with such mindless zealousy can possibly be considered GOOD?

Psalms 51:5 (Bible) Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. (seems to say we start that way)
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who “HOLD” the truth in unrighteousness; (Seems to say you need to be able to “Hold” truth in able to be liable for it.) (Children and mentally incapable persons)
