I generally give a thumbs up to anyone who answers any of my questions, unless they are personally attacking me. That gets a thumbs down. If I ask a question, I realize I'm likely to get answers that are the complete opposite of my opinion; I just like to know what others are thinking.
Other than obvious spammers, reporting is for nerds.

I would give a thumbs up if the reasoning is valid, and their answer is informative and helpful.
Thumbs down goes to circular reasoning, logical fallacies, or people who don't justify themselves.

Negativity. If the person aswers a question with bashing and negativity to a question that doesn't deserve it, I give a thumbs down regardless of religion and belief stated.
If the person answers positively to a question that deserves it, I give thumbs up.
If the question is one intended to bash anyway, I hit the back button and ignore it.

if the answer is insulting they get a thumbs down from me.
