"For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

A man writhing in agony with nails hammered into his wrists..dies of loss of blood and dehydration..why then do people wear that implement of torture round their necks?

Deuteronomy 22:28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Should we adopt this in America, Christians?

You keep telling me we need to get back to God's Laws.

Ive seen so many answers saying go to atheism because you'll be happier. Well ever since ive got confirmed and went to a TEC (teens encountering Christ) weekend ive been totally happy and since being a Christian for almost all my life ive been happy. So my question is Whats wrong with being a Christian and still be happy?

I am here, what more proof do you need? Like your god, I also have a book full of stories about me, and several movies that I star in. But unlike that *other* god, whose name I won't mention, I would never send you to hell. Would you like to accept Pazuzu into your heart now? I don't care if Jesus is already occupying it, I'll give him his eviction notice for you.

Yesterday I was waiting in line in my car at my son's school, waiting for the bus, he went on a field trip.

A woman got out of her van and started screaming "Oh my God!". People started running over to her van, then someone yelled, is there a nurse here. I got out of my car and ran over. The woman had no respirations or carotid pulse. I threw the seat back as far as it would go and started cpr.

Needless to say the EMS came to get her, she was talking to me when they took her.

I am a nurse. I truly believe God puts people in the right place at the right time. The bus was 30 minutes late. What if the bus had been on time and the woman coded somewhere else. Would there have been someone there to help?

Jesus says we must love our neighbours as we love ourselves, what if we hate ourselves, do we have to then hate our neighbours?

I ask this for a few reasons:
1. If he answers your prayers, then you say it was God's intervention. If he fails to answer your prayers you claim it was part of his plan. Wasn't it part of his plan already? You really can't have it both ways.

2. If you pray, your prayer may come true or not. If you don't pray, your prayer may come true or not. Um... wouldn't that be the same as chance?

3. If God has a plan and knows all, then why would prayer be necessary. Wouldn't his plan take into account the needs of people. Wouldn't be part of his plan? Don't you think it would be inappropriate to suppose he doesn't know what you want/need? Wouldn't it further be inappropriate to assume your needs could/should/would supercede his plan and/or not arleady be a part of it?

4. Prayer has been proven not to help, in fact it hurts. See link.

I would have no problem aiding another human being in their time of need, but I wonder if they would accept assumed "evil" blood. I mean, we have no morals, right? So let's see shall we?

More and more people are understanding that christianity is silly. It's because of all the hypocrisy in the bible; things like god hating conceited behavior, yet continually going on about how he can move mountains and show off by walking on water. Then there's him saying he's righteous, yet killing people and talking about how everyone should be kind and understanding. Of course, I haven't named all of the many flaws in the bible. But I don't think that's the only reason why more and more people are finding it silly. I think it's the fact that we're starting to understand that you can be gay and act on your homosexuality if you want to and that's your decision and not the decision of some bible. I think there's the fact that there's no real proof but even more than that I think it's the bahvior of christian which is why more and more people are becoming ok with it. Most christians are not kind or respectful. Come back an horu from now and look at the answers I get from some christians

Christians always claim that athiests are "blind to the truth". Such as referenced by "Amazing Grace".

However, I have been christian, and let me tell you, they are the ones who wear the blndfold of religion. Everything that goes into their eyes has some christian spin on it to where they cannot even see the truth anymore. THAT is in-fact the definition of blind. That is why they judge everyone and everything to a standard.

I don't know people, what do you think about it, and give some serious answers... not "Jesus will guide you to the truth".

That's what the preacher says on the documentary "Jesus Camp". And I think you'll agree that she's very sincere.

No insult intended. But wearing a veil, as I understand promoted by the Muslim faith, assumes that men will look sinfully on all women so they need to cover up to avoid leading the haplessly sexed man into sin.

I see it at least every other 10 questions over the last days. "Cho wasn't a Christian", "Cho wasn't an atheist", "Cho wasn't a Muslim".

Aren't we all part of the same society? Aren't we all not responsible at all? And at the same time aren't we all also at least just a little bit responsible?

Simple question: what would it matter if Cho was part of your team? One planet = One people, right?

Religious and Christian follower's are against gay Marriage, however, what have you got against Civil Unions? It's not religious, and homosexual couples get the same right/privileges under the government as heterosexuals!

I would also like to ask, how many of you have divorced which is not recognised in the eyes of most church's but have gone ahead because you can by law?
Is this not double standard if you are against gay marriage?
