More and more people are understanding that christianity is silly. It's because of all the hypocrisy in the bible; things like god hating conceited behavior, yet continually going on about how he can move mountains and show off by walking on water. Then there's him saying he's righteous, yet killing people and talking about how everyone should be kind and understanding. Of course, I haven't named all of the many flaws in the bible. But I don't think that's the only reason why more and more people are finding it silly. I think it's the fact that we're starting to understand that you can be gay and act on your homosexuality if you want to and that's your decision and not the decision of some bible. I think there's the fact that there's no real proof but even more than that I think it's the bahvior of christian which is why more and more people are becoming ok with it. Most christians are not kind or respectful. Come back an horu from now and look at the answers I get from some christians

Well here is an answer for everyone to look at since I am a christian!!! For one thing, why don't you quote scripture if you know everything that is wrong with the bible? For another thing, I am kind and respectful! I am not being rude to you in anyway, and I don't appriciate the stereo type. I do believe that being gay is a sin, but it is a temptation. Everyone has temptation and yours just happens to be being gay. I am a cigarette smoker and I know it is a sin but I just can't quite but that does not make me any less of a christian because I have sinned, just like you. I repent for my sins though, I am sorry for giving in to the temptation, and I ask God to forgive me, that is the difference. I am sorry you feel this way about christianity you have obviously been influenced by some one who doesn't understand what it is all about. Christianity is about compation and kindness, and most of all worshiping the Lord because he can change your life only he can make you truely happy and until you give him the chance you will never know. I am not begging you to become saved but I am asking you to not judge what you do not understand just like I cannot judge your for being gay because I do not understand what you are feeling or going through. If you would like to talk about particular scriptures with me you can send me a message but I am not going to quote scripture right now since it does not mean anything to you anyway. Have a blessed day! Peace and much love :)

Homosexuality is not the issue of abomination in Soddom and Gommorah not even in the time when Israel was at war. Soddom and Gommorah is about the abuse of strength and power. It is about lasciviousness, it is about corruption, about criminalities, lust, greed and all the vices in the world.
In time of war, soldiers were asked not to engage with their wives during the battle. Sexual urge is normal for healthy, strong fighting men and if there is no woman around, some tendencies of man may express that to his own kind. Not that it is an abomination but it is in the same requirements of being pure in time of battle for God. There is truth that man is created for woman to continue the plan of replenishments on earth. Homosexuality however, is an abnormality on the hormones and in the mind but not the wish of a man to turn himself to what he is not. The Bible did not say not to be Gay, it just what not to do to disgrace God. Some sacrifices on the part of every individual is required in buliding up a nation of God.
God never hate people, He hated the things man did against His will just as you will hate the things done by your brother but never your own brother. Read every word and every event in the Old Testament and understand each deeply so that you may not judge it the way you are judging it now.
Do not expect the Christians to understand the true essence of the Bible, even the first one to organize it was the victim of a grand deception by the Devil. Give them understanding that are all just victims of a great lie. It is not only utterly silly but it is not what the true God wants. There is no hypocrisy in the Bible, there are just hypocrites among the teachers that preach with the wrong understandings and selfish interests.

I hope you are right. I hope a lot of lost people will come back an hour later and read what a lot of Christians have written. It could save a soul. Thank you for drawing their attention to the truth.

God made you and the rest of this world. He can do ANY thing he chooses to do. Everything in the Bible is for our learning. You could learn a lesson for all you are talking about if you will pray and study the Bible and see what God's reasoning is.
A Queer is a Queer and God will not allow a Queer in heaven.

Romans 1:24
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves.
25-Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator who is blessed for ever, Amen
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27-And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men and receiving in themselves that recompense of ther ERROR which was meet.

Why people are turning from God!

1 Timothy 4:1-2
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall DEPART FROM THE FAITH, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of DEVILS.
2-Speaking LIES of hypocrisy having their CONSIENCE SEARED WITH A HOT IRON.

I have read the bible enough to know that it is real. If you read Matthew, it speaks of people hearts becoming cold due to all the sin in the world. The bible also speaks of people falling away from the faith. I have not seen any hypocrisy. I choose to believe and I hope that one day you will too, before it is too late.

More than one person wrote the Bible. The New Testament Mathew Mark Luke and John wrote it all from different perspectives. All religions no matter how old say that you should respect other religions and personally I fell very very very offended. Jews also follow the Bible, but they only follow the Old Testament so you are also offending them. God and Jesus didn't write the Bible their followers did. The Bible proves that even in God there are flaws. Christianity is very important to me and you saying that we aren't kind or respectful is very incorrect. Most of the people at my Church couldn't be kinder. Personally I think you should go to Churches and see how even if you hate Christians they will still welcome you in because they are both respectful of you and kind hearted because they could easily throw you out but they don't. You shouldn't post anymore messages about religion because all you are doing is giving people a false impression and trying to make your religion more superior.

Other than the obvious hypocrisy in the behavior of many Christians, the religion itself was created nearly 2 thousand years ago. It was created with scriptures from several different sources and was created in a way that left it unable to adapt. They had no way of knowing about the scientific advances, etc that would transpire and make their story look foolish.

I believe it will die out as all of the other myths have.

true christianity is not silly. it is a beautiful philosphy that could transform the sad, dark world we live in...if only the majority would practice it. instead of just paying lip service.

"blessed are the meek"..."blessed are the pure of heart"...blessed are the peacemakers"...

can you imagine a world where those were the primary values held by our society?? can you really imagine a society where true brotherly love was practiced? think small, practiced in traffic, in the workplace, at the walmart parking lot or check-out line?

you have a lot of anger at "religion" and "the bible", i take it. you are holding onto bitterness, and maybe with good reason.

but don't blame christianity or the bible for the weakness and cruelty of misguided people...

People all have the option to choose their belief, and it's not possible for a Christian to convert anyone.

We all want to believe that what we do is okay, and it's not my place to judge anyone outside the church (other professing Christians).

Every one believes there is a line you shouldn't cross.
We are all free to act however we care too, and as God made all, I respect all. I'm only accountable for my own actions, and not crossing the line as I understand it.

Peace and Enjoy life....
No, not silly....

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Christianity might be silly to some, but to me it is the truth. I hope that one day we can all see the love of God in a way that the world has never seen before. And my prayer for you is that you raise your opinion of christians. I will admit that most are kind of grouchy but that is no reason for you to generalize man. Have some love... God is slow to anger and quick to forgive.

God Bless, and Remember

No matter what you do, no matter who you are, if u ask with a sincere heart Jesus will forgive you. You know why? Becuase Jesus Loves You...

Some are angry, some refuse to believe because they do not want to give up their sinful ways, some just don't want to complicate their life but I say at the end of the day all wonder: "what if it is true?". Yes indeed, what if it is true?
