I was reading about Blackwater USA today, and it scared the hell out of me.

A megarich fundie called Erik Prince has his own army of mercenaries that he sub-contracts to the Bush administration for use both internationally and in the states (the were used after hurricane Katrina and are currently in Iraq).

The benefit for the Bush administration is that these guys aren't bound by the same rules and regulations the military have. ie: They don't have to justify there actions to anyone but their employer.

Aside from the obvious appalling aspects of this, is it a concern that Blackwater could start to develop it's own agenda and take unilateral action without even being contracted to the US government?

Would it be fair to call them a fundamentalist army?

Islam says the Angels are created from light and they obey God perfectly. They are by nature unable to ever disobey the Lord.

Islam says the Jinns are created from Fire and they have choice to obey or disobey God. If they obey God then they are even higher in status to the Angels since a creation that has choice is higher than a creation that has no choice.

Islam says that a Jinn worshipped so perfectly that he became leader of the Angels. His name was Azazeel. He surpassed all in heaven since he had choice and he chose to worship and obey God.

When God created man and blew his spirit into Adam everyone in the heavens were told to bow down to him. Everyone obeyed except ONE. The Jinn who was now to be cursed and punished.

He (Shaitan) asked God to give him respite (and the ability to whisper into the hearts of mankind) till the day of Judgement and he swore that he would take Adam and all his descendants into hellfire with him.

Shaitan (satan) whispered into the hearts of Adam and Eve and they slipped. Then God taught them how to repent and then the Lord FORGAVE them. But the Lord decreed that Mankind and the Jinns would be put on the earth for a short time and every single human would be tested. The test is to recognize that God is one with no partners (1st Commandment) and then voluntarily submit to his commandments. If upon committing mistakes they sincerely repent and come back to Gods commandments then God would forgive them, give them more Strength to ward off evil and raise them in ranks and piety.

God declared that all who follow the whispering of Satan (and the Jinns who join him) and die in a condition of disbelief will be punished in hellfire while all those who follow the guidance sent down through the Messengers and Prophets and die in a state of obedience would be returned to the Paradise.

Islam says that every sin CAN be forgiven in the **Hereafter (after death)** EXCEPT ONE. The Cardinal sin, the breaking of the FIRST COMMANDMENT……. God is one and he has no partners, he begets not nor is he begotten and there is none like unto him.

We've been over the benefits: irrational child like mind that wouldn't be able to think beyond indoctrination. We know the dangers of a bright mind (Einstein, Thomas Jefferson, etc) include denying the bible as primitive superstition.
Christians damage their children's ability to think daily. However, they feel that making them retarded is bad. (of course, evolution explains this.) Why damage your child's ability to think rationally through preaching fear, threatening everlasting torture, and/or brainwashing them to believe in magic? Why is damaging their rational ability on a physical basis worse?
The avg IQ of atheists is higher than the avg IQ of believers. (This isn't saying intelligent people can't be theists. It may be saying unintelligent people are more likely theist.) But this is why parents must stress faith over evidence. Why wouldn't a parent give her child a better chance to reach heaven? They would be "childlike" and never question faith.

at this point i'm starting to think it would only be worse to notify the bank because a) i would lose the money (and i only have 500 in my account anyway) b) they would find out who made the mistake and fire them. i like to think that i am normally a moral person, but this situation is really testing me. what would you do?

"...And they (Jews, Christians and pagans) say: Allah has begotten a son (children or offspring). Glory be to Him (Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth, and all surrender with obedience (in worship) to Him. (Qur'an 2:116)..."

Why would God need a son......He is not like His creation in anyway. He does not pro-create, He does not give birth.....(See Qur'an 112:1-4)

When God wishes to create something, He need only say "Be" and it exists. This is how He created Jesus, as a sign of His Might and Power, the creation of Jesus in this way was a miraculous sign of God's power that the people may take heed.

Adam was created in the same way, from a word: "Be".... yet none claim Adam is the Son of God, so why claim Jesus is the Son of God?

Just think about it logically............it makes sense if you open your heart and mind to the truth.

According to Christians, God made the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. I have issues this concept anyway but today I'm asking specifically about His rest. Why would God need to rest? Is this figurative? God has no needs whatsoever. He doesnt' sleep, or eat, or anything. I see that so many people have anthropomorphized him. God is unlike anything we've ever known. He's beyond our comprehension.
Ok so please answer... thanks!

When someone tells you something, how do you know whether it's the truth or a lie? If you believe that the Christian Bible is the word of God, who are you going to believe, God or a wolf in sheep's clothing? Perhaps you might want to re-read Genesis 2:7, Job 33:4, Ecclesiastes 11:5,RSV, and Mark 9:42.

It was my understanding that the sign of the Messiah would be the giving of sight to the blind. I'm been searching for another instance of the blind receiving sight by someone other than Jesus. Other than Saul's Damascus experience with Ananias, I have not found another case. Am I overlooking an instance? I don't think I am but I'm not sure.

There is a verse in proverbs that says "He who covers his sins shall not prosper but whoever confesses and and forsakes them will have mercy." I feel that it is but manytell me just praying about sins, mortal sins on your own in your bedroom or something is sufficient and then bowing your head at the beginnning of mass, is all you neeed to do to be able to correctly recieve the eucharist.

I clicked onto Yahoo! this morning and found a story about the Catholic Church abandoning the concept of limbo after hundreds of years of teachings. How can you trust a faith that, on a whim, decideds that one of its most critical teachings is false? Do you really think that, just because the Pope says so, that God, will just let all these poor souls into the light. That would mean that the Pope holds the power over God and the decisions he makes. That makes absolutly no sense to me. Why is it so hard to accept the idea that God is an all loving being, that will love and accept us no matter what our faith is? There are literaly millions of people in this world that have never heard of God... do you think they suffer just because their culture doesn't include our belief system? God loves them all, and doesn't descriminate. But now I'm preaching...

Please share your view, or opinions. I'm truely interested in what others feel on this subject. Thank you!
