One of the areas in my Christian life where I fail is in prayer. For me it has become the nightly, before bed, real quick ritual. I am trying to devote more serious time in prayer with God. I mean seriously if God is supposed to be our Father, Savior, best friend we should talk to him more than 2 minutes a night right? What are some of your prayer lifes like?

He is real. He lives in our hearts.Just remember that when you go on with your daily lifes that there is a point that you will die.
So remember my friends that it is either life in Heaven or Hell.
F.R.O.G fully rely on god D.O.G. depend on god!

so be brave and tell me why you don't believe in God!!!

In creating and expanding the boundaries of that Jewish state at the expense of the Palestinian Arabs (who had previously done nothing to wrong the Jews), every standard of Biblical "justice" has been violated. Old and New Testaments. Amos or Jesus. Over the past 60 years, Palestinians have been driven from their homes, to live mostly in poverty in refugee camps, and have been killed if they resisted. This is not to excuse the Palestinians' resort to suicide/murder attacks that have intentionally targeted Israeli civilians, or any other such terrorist attacks. They're wrong. But, the wholesale use of terror by the Palestinians began only in the last few years (after 700,000 were driven from their homes 56 years ago), and, unknown to most Americans, even within the last few years, twice as many Palestinians have died in the violence as Israelis. So, in applying the letter of Biblical prophecy, are we and the Israelis violating the spirit of Biblical morality?

There is no doubt that males are called. But does he call females to preach the word, serve as decons, and/or serve as teachers.

I know some want to know my position so I will state it.

The Holy Spirit gives these gifts to whoever God says give these gift to, for there is neither male or female when it comes to salvation, or the gifts of the Spirit.

I mean really, there's no point telling your theories here. There's hardly any people who are actually qualified to give details regarding the subject.

Why not these people take it to the Biology section where real biologists hang out? I bet they have their own biology section drinking game.

"The truth will set you free."

Discuss evolution in the biology section and see what exactly is truth =p

There are thousands of Christian denominations in this world with diverse worship prayer practices.

I am just curious how all these practices came about, considering that the Master is one, and the Book is one...and, more importantly, the Holy Spirit is one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so first Lets define the meaning of religion:
religion is something that requires faith to believe in something that you cannot, have not, and will not ever seen.
so being that no one has ever seen a monkey give birth to a human being, (yet people beileve it) and that every thing they believe, happend MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of years ago! who can prove that?? no body was there no one watched the "evolution prosses" take place all they have to realy on is there faith in believing that some thing that no one can prove happend, and no one has ever seen it happen, yet some how people believe it?!? sounds like a heavly hard core faith based religion to me. right?

Could it be that religion is a progressive one from the same God. Mithra in Persian, Zoroastra, Indian and other beleives hundreds of years before the christian Christ had the idea of a saviour God. So why is Christianity so great it's just the same as many other ancient beleifs including using someone as a human sacrifice.

We know for a fact that a lot of the Catholic doctrine is not based on biblical teachings, so now that somebody woke up and decided to get rid of the "Limbo" doctrine will they correct all the other teachings and doctrines that are wrong with the church?

These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

The Bible is full of incidents where Jesus Christ prayed and worshipped God, the Father....and more so when He cried out, on the cross, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which means, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" .

And even before His cruxifiction, Jesus had earlier taught his disciples on how to pray my telling them this: :"Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, ........

If Jesus taught us this (revealed to us our heavenly Father) and called out to Him during His last hour, why do most Christians often mix the two during their prayers/worship?

Wouldnt it be wise and right for people to direct their prayers to the Father as Jesus taught ?

My wonderful husband died suddenly on the 20th. He'd been in cancer treatment, we had High hopes. On that night he had a massive cardiac event and did not make it.

It seem more than I can bear, he was my everything. I cannot visulaize going on without him.

He was a young healthy 58 year old who loved Gods world, the earth and all living things, He loved a sunny day, he is gone from me now and the pain is more than I can stand.

Ecc 11:5 "As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things."

If we cannot know exactly how a baby is formed, how can Christians claim that they know that the soul enters the fetus at the moment of conception? They claim this is fact, and that it proved that abortion is evil.

I don't want to debate abortion right now. I'm too tired and that's not my point. The point is that the bible says that we cannot know what is going on as a fetus develops. Science has proven this too to be untrue (surprise). We also are pretty sure how wind works.

Possession is when the demons enter a person. Oppression is when negative thoughts are planted, but doesn't enter/possess that person.

Since this Cho incident, are we guilty of denying that demons possess people? Do demons get away with murder this way?

Why do Christians or creationists always ask this question? Who has any evidence of nothing? Shouldn't one of these creationist scientists win a nobel for proving there was nothing before the big bang? Shouldn't they get an award for showing that mass-energy can be created and not just converted? Shouldn't they get recognition for at least disproving Einstein's famous equation?
What about showing that time can exist before existence? Where's the equation? They should at least get recognition for showing that nothing can do something, ie exist.

This is not to challenge some of the Christians who read the bible. They may point out that the bible doesn't even say there was nothing in the beginning. Some may align the "light" to the blast of energy at the beginning of time. This question is for those who don't know science or their own bible.
