Yes, I agree. LOVE of money though. That's what people don't understand. First there is like of money which can be dangerous but without it you probably wouldn't have enough money to live. But eventually when that like is nurtured it can grow into love.
The interesting thing about humanity (and this includes myself) is that the more we get, as in money adn possetions the less we are willing to give away and we just want more. A good exsample of this is Mr Burns from the Simpsons. He is a billionare and he is one of the stingiest people in the Simpsons.
That is what happens. The Bible says: 'A servent cannot serve two masters, he will love one and dispise the other' and so the more you want money and serve your greed for it then the further you will fall from God and the closer you will get to money. And then you will want more and more and you will want more and more and you will eventually go further and further in the wrong direction to get it.
That's just what humans are. I know they say women can multi-task better than men but in this case that really doesn't mean anything here. No one can live for both goodness, morality, lawfulness (basiclly God) and money at the same time.
'Do not store up your treasures on earth where they be stolen and eaten by moths, instead store up your treasure in Heaven'

I think love of money and material objects does cause alot of problems, I don't believe having money is a bad thing not all, but when it becomes were we get our sense of worth from then it certainly becomes dangerous. It also builds a wall up between us and the cry that comes from the poor and needy.
Were told all the time that we need money, we need to be popular and beautiful. So many people spend far too long, including me, trying to fill their lives with....well to be honest...crap, things that wont last long things that we think will make us eternally happy but is only really a temporary fix.
We came into this world with out any money and we will leave it in the same way.
We need to seek after something that consistently Love's.

the finished scripture reads: "For the affection of funds is a root of all varieties of injurious issues, and via reaching out for this love some have been lead off aim from the religion and have stabbed themselves throughout with many pains." one million Tim 6: 10 money supplies you a protection against proverty and helps a individual to grant needs for himself. hence the possibility exists of a individual putting their have faith in money as secure practices and forgetting approximately God. For the affection of funds and greed, many have broken the regulation, prostituted themselves, committed homicide, betrayed others and lied. a real christian does no longer be searching for riches on the price of his spirituality.

Yes,love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. That is why it was said in the bible that you could not be a servant of two masters. like serving God at the same time serving your wish or desire for wealth because you may love more your money than God. You may exchange your wealth from loving God.

The phrase "all kinds of evil" could be interpreted as either meaning inclusive of every type of wickedness OR many of the various types of wickedness -- but I'll assume you mean all types.
I don't think so. I think love of power is the biggest problem. Those who love money are truly chasing power.

without a doubt. i don't believe in god personally but people are obssesed with money and always looking over their nieghbours fence. my boss has a big house, about 5 cars, the yacht and he still crys the poor tale! I'm on less than £12000 a year yet i'm happy with that cos it pays for the roof over my head, food and bills with just enough left over for a couple o'pints of Guinness on a weekend.

Yes, totally agree that money is the root of all evils. That is modern society for you. Nothing and no one matters just money. I am sure that some people count theirs constantly.

I don't believe there is such a thing as "evil" but I agree that money and the quest for it drives normal people to do questionable or despicable things.
