The Bible is full of incidents where Jesus Christ prayed and worshipped God, the Father....and more so when He cried out, on the cross, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which means, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" .

And even before His cruxifiction, Jesus had earlier taught his disciples on how to pray my telling them this: :"Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, ........

If Jesus taught us this (revealed to us our heavenly Father) and called out to Him during His last hour, why do most Christians often mix the two during their prayers/worship?

Wouldnt it be wise and right for people to direct their prayers to the Father as Jesus taught ?

Jesus said that no one comes to the father except thru me- meaning Jesus

Jesus is God, he came from heaven to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross- to pay for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day & is in heaven now offering US the free gift of eternal life....

By the doctrine on Holy Trinity;

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are distinct persons.

However, the 3 persons of the Holy Trinity are equally One God. And therefore as God, the three are worshipped.

You can direct your prayers to God the Father, no wrong in that. That is why there is what you call the Lord's Prayer/ Our Father which is recited in the Holy Mass "as Jesus taught us"..

God Bless,

Please tell me the place human beings get the concept Christians have faith that God and Jesus are the comparable. God is the father, Jesus is the Son. we are to nicely known the two and worship the two. The Holy Spirit is a separate spirit. while Jesus replaced into baptized 3 separate persons made an visual charm or their presence everyday. Matthew 3:sixteen And Jesus, while he replaced into baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens have been opened unto him, and he observed the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lights upon him: Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, asserting, it is my liked Son, in whom i'm nicely extremely joyful. what's so perplexing to comprehend?

You are absolutely correct.God has given us a very strict ruling to obey The Prophets and do not worship them. What a lot of people don't understand about Islam is that God has given us an order to follow in the footsteps of the holy prophet jesus (peace be multiplied unto him as well as the prophets who came before him)Noah, Abraham, ISSac,Jacob,Joseph as well as David and Solomon all prayed to One God and Us Muslims are taught by that same exact God to worship only him alone and to exclude false worship of ivented Gods.
The Holy Quran Surah 5 verses 72 -73 and 75
72.They do blaspheme whu say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ:"Oh children of Isreal! Worship Allah, my lord And your lord" Whoever joins other gods with Allah- Allah will forbid him the Garden, and the fire will be his abode. There will for the wrongdoers Be no one to help.
73.They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a trinity: for there is No God except for One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy),Verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.
75. Christ the son of Mary Was no more than a Messenger; many were the messengers that passed away Before him. His mother Was a woman of truth. They both had to eat their daily food. See how Allah doth make His Signs clear to them; Yet see in what ways They are deluded Away fro the truth!

Muslim is an arabic translation for Monotheist, a Monotheist practices the belief and worship of One God, so that would mean that all of the Holy Prophets were Muslims or if you would like to use the English word Monotheist.

Hehe, sometimes when I pray, I say "Jod". By accident of course, because I start to say one and then the other. Haha. Jesus is God. If you pray "Father", you're praying to God, if you pray "Jesus", you're praying to God, if you pray "Holy Spirit", you are praying to God. That's the whole point of believing in the Trinity. Anyway, yes Jesus is and was God when He came to Earth and when He taught us to pray "Father".

You see before then, people (Jews) were afraid to even say God's name, so they wrote YHWH (they didn't even write out the whole name because of their fear). But when Jesus came to die for our sins, He also came to show us the perfect life and the kind of relationship we should have with God. Now, for us God is to be worshipped and feared and obeyed, yes, but Jesus (God--haha, it can be confusing sometimes, but He's God, He shouldn't be easy to figure out) wanted us to know how much we were loved and that God wanted a very close relationship with us. He wanted to be our Father and not just some stand-offish and harsh Master.

I don't know if you are Muslim or not, but this is the major reason why I do not want to follow Islam. God is Love. He's not sitting in Heaven waiting to beat u with a big stick or to force you to drink boiling water. He's patient and forgiving and He wants to shower you with His Love.

Anyway, hope that helps.

ur question is deep . You also have to include the Old testament when you say the BIBLE. this is where ur question lies. JESUS was the LORD in the o.t. HE was the one who wrote the 10 commandments with HIS OWN finger. HE also referred to HIMSELF AS THE I AM in the new testament. when HE did the pharisees took up stones to kill HIM. So HE refferred to OUR FATHER as an example to us and because it was the first time HE had been separated physically from HIM. HE WAS WITH HIM in SPIRIT. I hope this helps.
