However long the Spirit says to preach a message. That is how long.

The apostle Paul preached all night one time.

Remember Paul said in one letter, I did not come preaching fancy etc. Paul just preached the Word and nothing else; and simple or down to earth. The object is for the preaching to be understandable. If he came using technical jargon, not explaining it, and/or preaching fancy or over their heads, I doubt that the hearers would have grasped it.

I have attended churches where the sermon lasts as little as 15 minutes, and as long as an hour.

When I have preached, it was generally half an hour.

It usually takes my Pastor a week to work on his sermon. He plans out his topic months in advance then the one he does for that Sunday it takes him the that week to do it.
