It comes from Romans 5:12: "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned."

1 Corinthians 15: 21-22 the apostle Paul says, "For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." Though the words "Original Sins" are not included in this text, its meaning is plain to see. Adam's sin caused the spiritual death of every living soul. Christ's death paid the penalty that we could not pay with our own blood, giving us a life that we could never earn. If I had more time, I'd show you other places in the Bible where it talks about Adam's sin. But, you can put Adam into your search engine and do your own word search and find the same verses I'd be able to find. The thing about God's word is that if you are truly seeking the truth, you will find it. If you're just trying to rattle some cages here, you'll find that too, I guess. It just depends on what you're seeking. <*)))><

Through Jewish traditions it is believed that the man carries the Original Sin with him, whereas the woman does not. However, because it takes a man and a woman to conceive, the offspring (be a male or female) becomes "infected" with original sin. For this reason, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. Since God is without sin, He cannot "infect" the offspring of the woman, therefore making Jesus born without Original Sin.

Being born in an atheist household - there were no bibles, statues, icons or religious artifacts in our house! God, Jesus, Devil, Satan or Sin was not in our vocabulary. Bad behaviour, and good however, was in the vocabulary.
You know, a parents disaproval was far and enough to show me the error of my ways. Nothing that can make you feel like a worm but your parents dissapointment, without a word being spoken. I didn't learn that I was a "sinner" until I was older. I was informed through the media - you know - communications. The spirit of the air.

Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12, Romans 7:14 If there is no original sin then Jesus died for nothing.

The original sin is the first sin. It is when Adam willfuly rebeled against God. Just look around and see people willfuly rebelling against God & Gods truth. We are all born with a tendency to rebel & sin. The wages of sin is death. Look around, everyone has died. Everyone dies.

The only one not born with sin nature is Jesus, who is the Seed of the Woman (Genesis 3:15). That is because the sin nature is from the mans seed. Because he is the one who willfuly/knowingly disobeyed God. Jesus was tempted like the first Adam, yet without sin & so death couldn't keep Him in the grave & so Is our redeemer victorious over death.

It isn't a false teachings. It is seen with observance.

To add on to the Romans guy, it came from Genesis and was mentioned in Romans. Genesis is not attributed to a prophet or apostle, but rather as oral tradition from the time when orginal sin occured.

No one is born with the original sin according to my knowledge of the true christainity coz Christ never mentioned such a thing. It's a fabrication of the olden times when people preached what they wanted and what they preferred. By that I do not mean that christianity is wrong but it has certainly modified since then just like every other religion. The basic principles are however intact and those are to love our fellow beings and don't go fanatic over little issues which might not be that important for our salvation after all.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

(I added verse 24 because I find it so truly amazing.)

You don't even need to read it in the Bible. Just look around you, and I can look within myself, to see the proof.

Btw, Paul wrote the book of Romans.

And these are the words of Jesus: John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

Many prophets and Bible writers referred to man as being born sinful.
For example, King David:
"With error I was brought forth with birth pains, And in sin my mother conceived me." Psalm 51:5
The Apostle Paul agreed:
"For all have sinned and fall short ....." Romans 3:23
Why the term 'original' has been added on is anybody's guess.
My guess would be the Catholic church.
