Yesterday I was waiting in line in my car at my son's school, waiting for the bus, he went on a field trip.

A woman got out of her van and started screaming "Oh my God!". People started running over to her van, then someone yelled, is there a nurse here. I got out of my car and ran over. The woman had no respirations or carotid pulse. I threw the seat back as far as it would go and started cpr.

Needless to say the EMS came to get her, she was talking to me when they took her.

I am a nurse. I truly believe God puts people in the right place at the right time. The bus was 30 minutes late. What if the bus had been on time and the woman coded somewhere else. Would there have been someone there to help?

Would there have been someone else to help? Statistically, about 1 in 40 people in the US know some form of CPR.

I AM curious, as a CPR instructor and EMT, HOW the heck do you do proper CPR in a car seat, no matter how far back?

Nonetheless- congratulations on the 'save'!

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly!
You were in the right place at the right time - divine appointment.

I pray you will have the opportunity to speak with this lady, and lead her to the Lord.

I do have a praise report today.
This morning I was asked by a lady in my church, if I would help one of her neighbours who had turned to drinking alcohol three years ago after the death of her parents, and the habit had got out of control.

The neighbour came to church this evening, and I was able to lead her to the Lord. I work for Teen Challenge Uk, and was able to give her some counsel also, which I trust will continue while she needs it.

That's great. I think its good that you are a nurse with those skills, and that you had the guts to act quickly without faltering your thinking. God bless.

I personally believe patting yourself on the back for your good works negates the good you did. Did you do it to help her or so you could tell everyone how great you are?

Don't do things for glory. Do good for the sake of doing good.

Now let the thumbs down commence for telling the truth.
