Back in Moses days in the bible, people ate manna given by God. Revelation 2;17 says, " I will give white stone"... does that mean God will give white stone and manna in the last days?

Then you can "evolve" to a lighter
Maybe soon you can work up to a zippo
Then a windproof
Then a blowtorch
Then a flamethrower

So when you "go home" it will be a smooth transition.

Great idea, huh??

An interesting tidbit. The consumption of marijuana is not aginst the teachings of the christian bible. It is, however aginst the teachings of the satanic bible (although its being labeled as a controlled substance is questioned). In fact the common methodology used to combat the drug (drug testing for employment) was actually suggested by satanism. What is your opinion about this?

Please refrain from the your body is a temple cliche as that statement is taken to extreme in its general usage.

I know I posted this a couple of days ago...but, thought I might get different perspectives today...

-Anyway, how can we truly hold confidence in what these men are saying from the pulpit?
-Shouldn't they be held to a higher standard?
-Why isn't their public outcry over this atrocity?
-So much time is spent railing against gays from the pulpit, but little is said of divorce...however, the Bible says more about divorce than it does about almost any other thing that fundamentalists consider sin.
-So, divorce is obviously the biggest obstacle facing the family today..and the sanctity of marriage...why aren't churches speaking up against it? Could it be they don't want to alienate so many monetary contributors...and gays are an easy less numerous target?
-I'm not looking for scripture here...I know them all Leviticus, 1 Corinthians, etc...as they relate to gays and divorced...neither according to the Bible will in herit the kingdom of god...

He acts like people that don't listen to him are going to hell. He's entitled to his opinion but he can't right about that. God isn't waiting for us to slip up or be too independantly-minded to make sure we suffer a life worse than death, right? He makes me so mad but my husband loves him!

Like, if Christians went to either heaven or hell, while Hindus were reincarnated, while atheists just died and that was the end for them?

Just wondering.

I have something that I know that God doesn't approve of. Do you think that I should throw it away, burn it, or sell it? And if I sell it then should I keep the money or give it to God? (the thing I have is really bad...)

To me, a born again Christian, the Holy Spirit is a 400 mile wide, 400 mile deep rock. And on top of this enormous rock sits a comfortable, cushiony chair with my name on it. And there I sit..... soaking in the sunshine and basking in the blessings of God knowing that even the gates of Hell itself will never unsettle that big ole rock. It's a nice feeling !!! What about you?

I have strugged with my religious beliefs. Intellectual reason tends to disagree with most religious beliefs. And as much as I'd love there to be a heaven, and a creator, I cant help but think.. maybe we're just here because we're here and there's no higher power. But, really I don't know. I cannot believe in something that I can't believe, as much as I want to. I can be a good person and live a happy life because that's what I know, but beyond that I am unsure. And Im not willing to have a religion out of fear either. This is a weird question but hopefully I can get some insightful answers?

Hi I'm not perfect but I do believe in God and Jesus. I'm not a genius but I had stellar grades in college, I was in the top three percent of the entrance results of our university entrance exam. My question is this why do so many people assume a believer of the Christian faith is dumb? Can you justify your answer aside from because you guys believe in the resurrection of your Christ?
I'm just concerned that when I'll have kids they'll be ashamed to profess Christian faith.

Although so much of today's destruction, violence and (massive) death is due to religion, some theists/Christians will still hold on to their faith in three ways:

"It is the Devil at work"
"God works in mysterious ways. He has a good plan for all those people"
"It is God's wrath because of the atheists. We are to blame them"

#3: Ironic isn't it? Atheists are rarely the ones doing all this harm (look at the U.S. prison population), yet when some catastrophe happens we are to blame because God is supposedly angry at us for simply not believing and he decided to take that out on EVERYONE - not just the atheists (if at all).
