Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good........GOD SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD...............

I think it is time for Health class again. Your body and mind is a precious gift. The drug has 400 chemicals in it. However, when used it has double the amount. While it may cause short-term effects. The consequence is severe. One of the most vital organs is being effected: your lungs. So if you want to see if you can still live without your lungs. Be my guest. By the way. That is the reason why marijuana was band in the first place; not because of religion. Second, study more on your government. Separation of Church and State means something totally different than people think. What is meant is that the State or government cannot control the church nor can it establish a national church like England does. A person from a church can be a part of government does not mean the church controls the state. The definition of a church is a place where a group of people gather together to worship and have fellowship.

You are so wrong, John C.......
The Apostle Paul teaches against the consumption of mood altering chemicals in his Epistle to the Galatians.
Witches, Tribal Witch-doctors and Medicine Men, Shaman, etc have long been known to utilize and or promote the use of "natural" substances to lift them to an other-worldly awareness and perception.
That's why Paul connects drugs with witchcraft.
The Greek word Paul used which translated to the English "witchcraft" is :
"pharmakeia" {far-mak-i'-ah}
Outline of Biblical Usage:
1) the use or the administering of drugs
2) poisoning
3) sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
4) metaph. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry
The use of drugs will apparently open our minds to spirits other than the Holy Spirit.

Actually the consumption of marijuana is against the Christian Bible. It doesn't literally say the word "marijuana" because I don't think that word existed in King James' time.
The Bible says to avoid anything that cause you to become intoxicated. It also warns against addictive behavior.

yeah many things are on this planet they- just are not used the way God intended. No drugs to be smoked, sorry, plain and clear in the bible. Maybe pot is supposed to be used for something else. After all I am quit sure God never intended for hormones to be intjected into our milk or food supply.

I've heard people use Bible verses to both condone and condemn marijuana usage. My opinion is as long as you're not hurting anyone, go for it.

I've no objections to the use of marijuana for either medicinal or recreational (in moderation) purposes. Treat it like alcohol -- don't lose control, don't drive under the influence, etc.

I would like to share my story. My brother loved God with all his heart. He studied his Bible and prayed daily. However,he was in great pain as he had stomach cancer. He smoked pot to ease the pain.Is this any worse than taking pain pills? I dont feel that he was committing a sin as it helped him cope with the cancer
