I just read this comment by a user who will not be named, but it made me think... what the heck is this guy talking about? Here is the quote:

"the most important gift that God gave human beings, that which separates us from the animals, is free will."

So, do animals have free will? Or do they just do as god tells them to do?

If they just do as god tells them, does that whenever an animal attacks and kills a human that god has decided to kill that human?

It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining, spring is in the air.

Let your hair down, enjoy a few laughs, your God isn't going to care. Live for yourself for just one day, don't be so serious.

Not trying to convert you, I mean no disrespect, but have a little fun. I know you aren't all as serious as the people in this forum would lead us to believe.

Mohamed and Christ and all those make believe prophets made it all up... the world would be so much better off if adults stopped believing these fairy tales.

This is for all the whiney, cry-baby Chrisitans complaining that they are the only one's questioned here.

Jesus fasted for forty days. One time His disciples could not heal a boy and Jesus told them that the situation required prayer and fasting.Even though much has been wrought by prayer and fasting according to testimonies, are there not ill effects like gas or stomach problems from not eating for long periods? Some people take no food nor water during fasting. Others take water/juice. What are your comments?

Prayer requests!!! Why do people ask for prayers on Yahoo Answers? "So-and-so is really sick, would you pray for him?" If you really cared about this person, you would be spending time with him in his hour of need and not sitting on your a** on the internet. What really goes through your mind? You answer a few questions, then throw in a prayer request, then go back to answering questions again? How can anyone take this seriously? It's ridiculous. So-and-so's health obviously isn't as important as you getting to the next Yahoo level so you answer more stupid questions.....

I feel better now....thank you...

Everyone has different beliefs & disbeliefs, what would you suggest to bring peoples together rather than tear them apart?

What's your vision??

This question is just something that i really just want to know out of curiosity, i don't want to offend people.

The other day i was at starbucks and a group of about 15 atheists were at a table next to me spewing out and saying the meanest, vilest things about people they know who are Christians and how stupid it is to believe in Jesus. I had never heard people so filled with hate and anger towards Christians as myself...I wasn't even upset, i was sad.

Also, would atheist think that all those who were affected by the Virgina Tech Massacre who pray together and are trying to pull through this to be foolish idiots because they of what they are doing...praying together, trying to get through it. If their faith is helping them so much, then why critizie them and think them to be idiots? I just don't understand.

Good or Evil; It doesn't matter! I want to confront a ghost, a real live witch ( who's been dead a long time), or any spirit at all!! After all; What is God but a spirit? If there is no spirit world, then there is no God, right? Of course, that would mean there is no devil either and then I would have to find a new purpose in life. This is a challenge! Can you prove it?

why not the Wiccan goddess, or the Pagan pantheon? Is it because Muslims are so much more aggressive about their religion?
And what do we learn from this?
I am not suggesting that Christians begin beheading anyone that doesn't agree with us (which does seem to be a tad extreme)...
But, would it be a good idea if Christians quit cowering in a corner every time someone threatens a law suit? Why are we so afraid to stand up for OUR Constitutional Rights? Why do we let people tell our kids that they can't pray, can't sing, can't wear their Christian slogans, can't carry their Bibles, etc, ad nauseam?
When one of our kids bravely flys in the face of her instructions to leave God out of her valedictorian speech, WHY do we calmly sit by and let HER Constitutional Rights be violated? Doesn't she have the right to Free Speech?
Christians, if we don't quit being so wishy washy about our faith, we can expect our grandchildren to have to hide in a basement to worship at all. WAKE UP!!

....currently in limbo into heaven? And will some kind of compensation be allotted to the parents and families (those who are still alive) who have spent their lives grieving about those poor babies who weren't allowed into heaven because they weren't baptized? And who among you will finally realize what a cruel practical joke has been perpetrated on Catholics by their Holy Eminences all these years concerning limbo, not eating meat on Fridays, collection plates, and the entire organized religion scene?
I hear it will be "big hat " day at Wrigley Field next week. Do you think the Pope will attend?

ON the bank of a river grew a tall Oak Tree.
It stood with its roots firm in the ground,
and its head high in the air, and said to itself:
"How strong I am! Nothing shall make
me bow. I look down upon all the other trees."
But one day there was a storm. The terri-
ble unseen wind came and struck the proud
Oak. Crash! went the trunk, down came all
the beautiful branches, and the Tree fell into
the river. As the water carried it away, it
passed by a Reed that grew on the bank.
The little Reed stood up tall and slender, and
looked at the poor broken Tree.
"O Reed," said the Tree, "how did it happen
that you were not broken down and spoiled
when the wind came? You are so little and
weak, and I was so strong and proud."
"Ah! poor Tree," said the Reed, "that is
just the reason that the wind did not hurt me.
I bent low until it had gone by, but you stood
stiff, and tried to stop it on its way. No one
can stop the wind.

So why would you trust the "new" version when they just acknowledged that their centuries-old claims were b.s.? Isn't it just as likely that the "new" idea will be "revised" in another hundred years?
Ridiculous, people. Every bit of it. Are you really going to nod your head every time somebody makes something up?

7 men have been beheaded in the Philippines on the Island of Jolo.

The crime was committed by Muslims belonging to the group Abu Sayyaf.

Since Muslims broadcast Islam as a religion of peace, why does the religion inspire so many violent acts?

When will Muslims condemn their own religion for this level of brutality? If they were as passionate about their religion as Mexicans were about living in America, wouldn't we see 13 million Muslims demonstrating in the streets of American cities (and cities worldwide) burning effigies of Abu Sayyaf and shaking their fists at the satanic terrorists who have successfully made Islam stink to high heaven?

Why, instead, do they hate America and other western countries who allow them to live in peace wherever they want?
