I just read this comment by a user who will not be named, but it made me think... what the heck is this guy talking about? Here is the quote:

"the most important gift that God gave human beings, that which separates us from the animals, is free will."

So, do animals have free will? Or do they just do as god tells them to do?

If they just do as god tells them, does that whenever an animal attacks and kills a human that god has decided to kill that human?

For those that say they rely on instinct, is it instinct that teaches the caged lion at the zoo to NOT eat the person that brings it's food? You know, we are made of meat also, and left in the jungle, we would make a mighty tasty meal for them.

Is it instinct that makes circus animals perform? You know, the lions there could eat you too. Instinct would tell me to eat the ring master and walk out of the circus, because instinct says being caged is bad for hunting.

I think some of you have been extremely sheltered and need to watch the discovery channel. Animals form clans and have families just like humans. To suggest otherwise is pure arrogance coupled with ignorance and/or deceit.

Fun fact: God didn't give us free will. Remember that story with the apple tree in it.

So that begs the question: were we just like animals?

Because before we took the knowledge of good and evil from the tree, we couldn't have free will.

And God punished us for having free will.

Okay the whole image of some omnipotent creator being telling my poodle to leave a token piddle spot on the rug because she was mad at being left behind, EVEN after we took her out for a piddle break right before we left, is just too much.

no they don't have free will..... only humans have free will..... all animals live with the consciousness of God..... they follow nature.... existence.... God......... we have free will.... we can destroy ourselves... or create a heaven on this earth...... since we create our own reality..... we experience pain...suffering ... happiness ....etc..... animals live in a perpetual state of bliss..... only man has fallen from the garden of eden........ so ...is free will ..... a gift or a curse..... ...... the prophets of God...... had dropped their free will.... and only followed the will of God........

There is no evidence that anything has free will...especially when God is involved.

(edit) Well...my computer may have free will. He does whatever he wants.

No they don't. They rely on instinct, which means that they do not think as we do, but have a repetitive nature.
