May God have mercy on their souls for the hate they spread

They have been around for quite some time. I have not had them come to a church that I attend, but I have had them come to a university I went to. They protested the university because we have a Gay-Straight Alliance. Teachers there also put rainbows on their doors if they are someone that is accepting of anyone with a homosexual lifestyle or questions about their sexuality. Anyone with that rainbow is somewhat of a safe haven for people that are torturned mentally by their questions about their sexuality. I saw them and they looked defeated when they were there. They were full of anger, not the peace of the God that I worship. They were full of hate, not the love of the God that I know. They were a sad bunch really. It makes me sad to see people that are that hateful, but at the same time, they are not a representative of the Christian faith. My faith is stronger than the people that are extremists.

I attended Broadway Baptist Church in Kansas City...the pastor had written an article in support of homosexuals...and Fred Phelps began picketing his church.

Get this...Fred Phelps has picketed at the Southern Baptist Convention, because he doesn't think that Southern Baptists have come out hard enough against gays...Southern Baptists!

It is interesting however, how fundamentalists want to distance themselves from him...But, he quotes the same scriptures and says the same things that many on this site says...it is just that he uses worse language...but, the message is the same...

Fundamentalists are going to have a lot of blood on their hands for the number of people that have went to hell that they have turned away from God.

They talked about coming here to my town in Valdosta GA to protest at the funeral of one of our fallen soldiers, then decided against it. Definitely a good idea on their part , cause I'm pretty sure a bunch of rednecks would have laid the smack down to 'em !!

They suck! they should do something more productive w/ their time.

My hubby and I are members of the patriot guard riders, so we've dealt with them before. They are truly sick. There is just no talking to people like that.

These people are nuts. No Baptist organization recognizes them.

I honestly don't know if they are satirists, or are serious. They truly are evil if they are for real, and if they are just being funny, they are evil too.

Their methods are pretty jacked-up, but their message is no different than most Christian groups.
