coasting through an average life when you could have an extraordinary life if you just apply yourself?
Is it the STRIVING that matters more than the succeeding?

It's been said that life is a test, nothing but a test. We're here to prove ourselves worthy of a more exalted life. I think of this life as a giant school. When we're young we're in grade school/elementary school. When we're teens and don't know what the heck is going on, but have a pretty good idea that things are changing, it's like we're in middle school/junior high. When we're adults it's like we're in high school, and some particularly bright, wise "students" go on to college but there aren't many who do so (I'm thinking those who change the world, the great thinkers and doers in the history of the world). Judgement is like graduation, where we find out where we'll spend eternity. There will be those who were A students, B students, C students, and a very few who didn't pass.

If you have the potential to be

Read this and ANSWER !
"When 40 years of age, Joseph married a woman called Melcha or Escha by some, Salome by others; they lived forty-nine years together and had six children, two daughters and four sons, the youngest of whom was James (the Less, "the Lord's brother"). A year after his wife's death, as the priests announced through Judea that they wished to find in the tribe of Juda a respectable man to espouse Mary, then twelve to fourteen years of age, Joseph, who was at the time ninety years old, went up to Jerusalem among the candidates; a miracle manifested the choice God had made of Joseph, and two years later the Annunciation took place."
The Catholic Encyclopaedia goes on to conclude "...retained the belief that St. Joseph was an old man at the time of marriage with the Mother of God." If there is no problem in a 90 year old man marrying the "Mother of God" who was 12-14 years old why do you raise objection towards the marriage of Aisha (RA) to the Prophet?

Ok I mean that beneath all of our differences for the most part we're just trying to do good and we all have basically the same needs. Why do we need to segregate ourselves and judge others instead of working toward a happier place for all? Did y'all ever see that movie a beautiful mind? What's best for the individual and the group is the going to have the best outcome. So why not think more about the group?

She's 3.
she heard this at school:
She said: is it true that adam and eve lived in a garden and god told them that they were naked, so they put on leaves, and some snake gave them a apple?

and I said, what do you think?

And she said.

'No.'

and went back to coloring.

Is she going to grow up to be an atheist?

My sister basically just cut me completely out of her life because I do not follow the exact same religious structure that she follows. She is a very strict southern baptist, Where i am not and she know nows I will follow my own path that is not exactly hers and she wont have anything to do with me. I do not get it. Why would anyone cut anyone out of their lives because of a religious belief especially your own family?

About Creation, Pope Melds Faith With Science

By IAN FISHER
Published: April 12, 2007
ROME, April 11 — Science cannot fully explain the mystery of creation, Pope Benedict XVI said in comments about evolution that were published in a book on Wednesday. At the same time, he did not reject evolutionary theory or endorse any alternative for the origins of life.
“I would not depend on faith alone to explain the whole picture,” Benedict, a former theology professor, told his former students in September at a private seminar outside Rome on evolution, according to an account of the book from Reuters.

What is wrong with depending on faith alone?
