Taking personal action as you put it has absolutely nothing to do with going to church...any church. Christians need to live every day, every moment, every night as a follower of Jesus Christ and their Father in Heaven. Worship is an act that can be and is performed by believers in everything they do and in every word they speak. I think the reason many people who believe in Jesus and in God do not go to church is for the exact same reason that I do not go on a regular basis. We are tired of the man made nonsense that EVERY church body insists on adding to what the Bible says. Being a Christian is ALL ABOUT your personal relationship with Jesus and God...not belonging to or attending a church service. If I never set foot in a church again, I am confident in my salvation as I walk with God/Jesus 24/7, not just for an hour or two a week.

I'm thinking a lot of folks feel like I do, that organized religion is falling short of its intended goals. It has compromised its credibility by reinterpreting scripture to fit modern idealism rather than presenting God's word as it was intended, church leaders do not provide positive role modeling. And last but certainly not least, most people are turned off by the hypocrisy of other Christians, who act no different than non-Christians, but are very judgmental.

They are not believers, they answered a poll that had options like 1) Muslim....ok not that, 2) Christian 3) Buddhist...um...nope 4) Other/None, and they checked 2.

It really doesn't mean they are Christians.

The numbers are purposely skewed by Christians. I think it's more like 60% of America are practicing Christians.

I think many are fooled and claim their church is going to the beach, camping in the mountains, playing a round of golf on God's green course's.
They are "worshipping" him in nature. What a joke. If they really wanted to please God they would not forsake the assembling of themselves in his house of worship.

Because they don't really want to belive it but America is labled as a Christian nation so they feal they have to say it.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian. And just because someone claims they are something, doesn't make them so.
