The above course is at our local college.
And this sort of thing interests me.
Has anyone been on one of these courses and if so what was it like?
Any sensible opinions good things about the course?

I've never done such a course, but I would encourage you to try it if you are curious. At the very least, you will learn some of the research techniques used to investigate the paranormal. Learning how to take an objective view of what is mostly subjective phenomena is a useful skill. You will be far less vulnerable to scams and frauds once you know a little about double blinds and statistical analysis of phenomena.

Okay I have never taken a class on this subject but, I have been part of some Paranormal investigations and they are a lot of fun! If you are really into the paranormal and are interested in investigation I would take the course. I have really learned from the investigations that I have been on. I know how to use all the equipment, and to tell if the equipment is having problems. I have learned a ton about vidoe and looking for signs caught on film. I have also learned how to de-bunk a lot of the sighting, haunted houses ect....and that has helped me the most! I can look at pictures now and say um no that is a bug or dust! I wanted to learn how to do it right because there are many people out there that enjoy faking it and that just ruins it for those of us who have solid evidence. That is another thing that I have really enjoyed learning how to collect evidence and document it properly! I really think that you could benefit from this class, again only if this is something that interests you. Get your camera ready and have some fun besides if you are getting credit for it, who cares right? I hope this helps!

I have not taken any such courses, but i'm always interested in the paranormal. I'd say go for it.

yes i have done a course on psychical research at our local university
It was done by members of the Scottish Society for psychical research with great lecturers
it was done in a skeptical manner which helped with my own experiences with the paranormal
so I can now look at my own experiences and sift out what is and what isnt paranormal
I would highly recommend it
