Some days, when I read answers to questions, I want to weep. The are so hateful, so bigoted. So ignorant. And the come from God's 'Children'. How is this possible? Why is this the way that it is? I try not to be hateful in my answers. I try to show my love of God, my love of his commandments through my answers - but apparently that is not so with others. How can you, my fellow Christians, call yourself that when you say hateful things about homosexuals, muslims, jews - or anyone who is different than you are. What would Jesus do?

God created all living things including homosexuals. Who cares? I am Christian and support it all. Do you think they would choose to be gay when they get killed, harrassed, hurt and threatened for it? That's why it's so hard for them to come out. They are people just like you and me. Why worry about them when you have rapists, child molesters, serial killers, and these REAL sickos. Being gay is not a disease and they are not sick. They are people and they think, breathe, and feel. Even if you are against their "lifestyle" you don't have to avoid them and be disgusted with them. No one should hate anybody for who they love. Love is love.

As i look up in the tree; i see an apple staring back at me.
I take a stick to knock it down;
As straight as an arrow it hits me in the crown.
Laying on ground eyes filled with tears;
I look to sky and realize my fears.
A voice booms down aimed straight me;
"I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THAT APPLE TREE!"
What do you think? Pretty good huh? Peace.

answer to any question be it retoricle ,metaphorical, or even a cry for help is to quote the bible at them.
i am a pagan but i do not see the need to impress my beliefs on people when they talk to me or ask my advise as i do not believe that religios brow beating is the solution to say ' how can i escape from drugs or alchohol' or 'my parents are sexually abusing me, beating me, help'

Trying to kill our children, stoning people, genocide....not to mention one of God's own prophets magically calling forth she-bears to kill children; just to mention a few.

That doesn't even count all of the horrible things that God is mentioned as doing.

Since God created all living things, and homosexuals are living things, therefore God created homosexuals, correct?

Why then do you hate and despise some of God's creations?

My husband has read the book 'The God Dilusion' and has decided he is completely positive all of a sudden that there definitely isnt a God.
He believes we are all here due to the big bang!! and everything has a scientific reason, if there are gaps in our knowledge it is just because we have not discovered the 'scientific' reason behind it just yet. My brother agreed with him and felt God was really for weak people that needed to believe in something to make life easier yet there probably is aliens. Well, my bro's friend who would describe himself as spiritual not religious felt they were wrong to dismiss we have a creator, they demanded proof and scoffed at the idea not accepting his reasons for this, my husband wouldnt let him finish his sentences and was slagging off God and laughing at us.
I found myself getting frustrated at my husbands lack of respect, we were not making a joke of his opinion
Well you cannot close your mind to anything I personally feel, what about you?

so someone has ideals and are willing to die for what they believe in. This is a sacrifice to God, I guess that is how they look at it. But what bugs me is why is it okay for men to sacrifice their life for Bush's believes and that is so noble.
they get a brass band and a 12 gun salute and a folded flag.
They are willing to die for what they belief in the USA and that is okay. And their not even sick.
But some religious person, dies for some belief or somthing he feels is morally wrong and then he is this monster.
To me that is a double standard, what do you think?
If sacrificeing life in war is okay, because they believe in it, then I mean what the heck?

A Messiah born to a Virgin? No one had ever suggested that the Hebrew books contained this idea, until those books were translated into Greek and suddenly it appeared like magic, since it was an idea not uncommon among Greek religions.

How can a Christian claim that a prophecy is contained in the Greek translation of the Bible, but not in the Hebrew (where it clearly does not exist)? Any good study Bible will mention this mistranslation in the notes and cross references.

And yet it is still treated as a central belief among all Christian faiths.

What explanation for this do Christians use?

If you have to be Christian to be saved, then what about all the good people before Jesus' time and before Christianity era? Did God just say "oops" and decide to save them just because? I'm not an atheist, but people who think that following their religion makes them "chosen" or "saved" are ridiculous.

Do you really think God sweats the small stuff?
Like if you pass the test on Friday, what music you listen to, or if you wear pants or a dress to church, or even if you capitalize Christian?

I feel our creator set our whole universe into motion in a very set order giving us consistent reliable cause and effects, and that he does not sweat the small stuff.

I do believe he deals with us on a spiritual level to guide us toward peace, and meaning in our physical situations. He allows situations to develop naturally and is concerned with the development of our character/integrity.

What are your thoughts? Does God sweat the small stuff?
