I live in Saint Louis , MO (near Jennings) and I'm finding it impossible to find anyone to mentor me. If anyone knows of someone in the area (or over the net) that I can develope real connection with, please do tell.

Wow, there's a big Pagan community in St. Louis. Try witchvox.com. They can link you with other Pagans in your area.

Well, I am not a pagan or a wiccan, But, If I were looking to join a coven, I would try to get into one that had a a tight knit group, like everyone cares for each other, And prefferably not a centralized focus ( like on an elite member or something ) But a focus on the common good for the practice of wicca or paganism or whatnot.

I would just like to give some advice from my personal experience as a High Priestess, often we have blocks put up in front of us because there is something we either have not looked at or we are not ready.
I know how frustrating it is to really want someone to teach you and not finding anyone. If you don't find anyone through here one day you might just run into someone in a book store and them decide at that moment that you are now their student.
'When the student is ready a teacher will appear'.

Meetup.com is a good place to look.
Witchvox.com as others suggested.
Also, go to google and type "St. Louis Pagans" or "St. Louis Coven"

Have you tried the Witch's Voice? They offer listings of Pagans world wide, and some are agreeable to receiving email. If you havn't tried it, try going to http://www.witchvox.com
