Kind of like when your parents punished you for eating cookies before dinner by locking you in the cellar for an unlimited duration while coming in and whipping you periodically all the while saying, "I told you this would happen! But I still love you!" *whip*

Studies have shown that only 5% of the whole population are gay. We need to control reproduction anyways, don't we?
Gays have existed since ever, and the family still exists.

Okay, my first question was for the Fundamentalist Christians, now it's your turn to respond.

What are some of the ways we can eliminate some of the antagonism between the different factions on this board?

I've had some questions that I never got a concrete answer on. Being that most questions have been asked a million times buy a million different people is it ok to ask again... maybe at a later time or is asking the same question just annoying?

I've seen many Christians pick fights over Biblical translations, only to find out that they don't really understand the KJV at all. What's the point of reading a Bible if you have no idea what it says? (Disclaimer: there are some people who have no problem with it. But you probably aren't one of them.)

Keep in mind, Shakespeare was writing his stuff around the same time that the KJV scholars were translating. Do you understand Shakespeare?

There are about 1.2billion muslims in the world, if Islam preaches about violence why arent these 1.2billion people blowing themselves up? Only a minority of these 1.2billion people are using violence. So what does that mean to the majority? Did we not interpret the Quran properly because we are living a peaceful life?

What are some things that we as Christians can do to eliminate some of the antagonism between the Fundamentalists and the Atheists and others who are offended by some of our beliefs?

I realize that most of us want to ensure that people will not spend eternity in hell, but the constant comments about this subject are but one of the many reasons why we turn people away from our beliefs. I think there has to be a better way of sharing the gospel, don't you???

If so, what can we do to eliminate the antagonism? Because when we stop antagonizing, don't you think they might be more willing to see the difference that Christ can make in our lives? And if you think of what Christ showed in his life, he wasn't always talking about hell either. He reached out through love and compassion.

If you agree, how do we share the good news so it is less offensive and people will listen?

Seriously the world has gotten kinda hairy. I know this happens from time to time. It seems that mass catastrophe brings people together. Whatever your beliefs are would you be surpised if civilation was decimated by a rain of fire, flooding, homicidal trees, earthquakes, locusts, the Stay Puffed Marshmellow Man or whatever?

Referring to when Jesus said, "Drink of this fruit of the vine, this is my blood that is shed for the remission of sins for many. Eat of this bread. This is my body that is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.".

They are concerned about blood transfusions associated with the OT command to not drink blood.

So, if they do, how do they take Communion?

If He knew what we would do, why did it upset Him when we did it? I am a Christian, but I don't get it all.... The Ark was 525 ft long, 88 ft wide and 53 ft tall. Would all current and past species fit? I'm assuming the fish and aquatic mammals fended for themselves. Did many current species evolve from a mother breed? Was humanity and the creatures confined to very small area on the planet at that time? The number of species very small? I also wonder about the sons of God coming in unto the daughters of man and breeding giants. Can you provide some insight please. As a Christian, am I wrong for asking questions like this? I feel horrible. I understand that worrying about the small things is not the best thing to be doing. Learning to love should be the focus. I just wonder. The more I visit this site, the more my faith wavers. It should hold strong in the storm. I am not liking this. Not a bit. I would like to hear Drake's council.

when i look around the world, the things i see and the events that happen and the experiences i have had or have learned of, are perfectly in keeping with what my senses tell me must be true. when i drop a stone out of my hand it falls to the ground, if i drink too much i get drunk, if i treat people badly, i get the same in return. in other words, the world is as it should be. i am an atheist.

so, my question to you as stated above is, does your religion square with what your senses tell you about the world. for example, have you ever seen a virgin give birth?
have you ever seen the dead rise?
have you ever seen anyone float in the air, walk on water, or perform any other sort of 'miracle'?
how could a supposedly benevolent, loving, supernatural being destroy innocent life so carelessly?
how could things such as 'evil', death, destruction, famine, disease, pestilence, plague, infanticide, genocide, natural disasters and the like occur in a 'perfect' world?
please... explain.
