Here are some options for you to consider...
Yes, I have asked a question more than once, just not on the same day, to get additional perspectives. There are so many questions that come up at times that it is easy to miss a good question.
Secondly, if you don't feel that any answer is worth the 10 points, it is very acceptable to delete the question. Yes, you are out the 5 points, but if you are not in this just for the points, and are truly curious about the answer, why not eliminate those questions. There are enough questions on here as it is already.

It is no problem with me if a person asks a similar question but if it is something they really want an answer for, it would be a good idea to at least read some of the other responses before asking--it might help clarify their question further so we know what they really want to learn.

Darlin - There's been many times I've wandered back to vote on questions - found a legit question that I knew the answer to... and the poor asker had no one who knew what it was!!!
AAAARGH!
I would be able to provide references to validate my answer... and it would be CLOSED for answers! DRAT!
Keep asking... This is SUCH a fluid forum - your question gets pushed back into the fluxom and jetsom very quickly... and someday - the right person might just see it and be able to help you.
PERSEVERE!
Peace.

If you are on here enough you'll start to learn when to ask certain things if you're looking for good, insightful answers. You'll start to recognize profiles, who gives objective, honest answers and who's out for trouble..
I've found Sundays to be a day that there are a lot of very helpful people on here.

Sometimes it's best for many to ask and re-ask the same question. (You're question's worded a lot like it was written for 'Through the Looking Glass'. Very cool.)

Do you know how many times this question has been asked?
Hey just ask...don't worry about it....I've often given repeat answers to popular questions....

Keep asking until you get a real direct answer. Not necessarily the answer you are looking for but an answer for real. Now what is your question??? That is my question!

I would ask at another time.
To be honest the best answers are found in books not forums.
