He knew that man would sin and it sitll repented him that he had made man. This is not easy as to how anything could literaly repent a God that is foreknowing, The point is made that God was so grieved by this that he literaly felt sorry that he made man. First we can say that God was conveying a point to man about the degree of sin, God did save man from total distruction so clearly God had not totaly repented that he created man, Now could all of the animals fit on board the Ark the answer is apparently yes and we can know that animals do change because of climate and such so many breeds that exixt not came for those animals but anything is possible with God it is not a hard thing for God to sustain even the vast numbers of animals we have today if he sees fit to do so. the things that yous ay should consern you are exactly right God did create the world and he is an eternal being and it was always about your eternal salvation not this temporay world. Christians should question all things and seek God for answers as you grow in your relationship to God your faith will also grow. Those who love the truth will seek him and he will give them a gift of faith and through faith comes a true personal relationship with God. The Ark has many spiritual meanings besides the literal flood of the world. May God Bless You... You are in my prayers.

First, let me say that as a Christian myself, I don't think you are wrong to ask questions. Asking, and seeking to learn is not only not wrong, it is what we should do. I don't have all the answers to your questions but I will do my best.
Understand that the Bible was written thousands of years ago and not in English. Words may change meanings after they have been translated so long ago. I wonder about the word "regret". Perhaps the way we think about it isn't what was intended. If God regretted creating man, why save 7 of them? and why would He regret making animals when they did not sin agianst him? Maybe it shoul be another word used instead of "regretted".
No all curent spieces would not fit. There must have been some evolution after the flood or else all flesh did not perish in the flood.
Was everyone confind to a small area? Yes, I think that would have been the case.
The word "Nephilim" should not have been translated "giants". It might have meant "fallen ones"
Then there is the possibilty that the story is alagorical, rather than litteral. But if it happened, it was thousands of years ago and there is much we can never know. The only really important lesson to learn from the story is that God will rescue those who belong to Him. So keep the focus on learning to love and you will stay on the right track. If something in the Bible doesn't seem right, remember it was never written in English, and it was translated hundreds of years ago when English was diferrent.
So keep on asking questions and don't lose faith!

Well, mythos...it scares me and upsets me that your faith is wavering...You are not wrong to ask the questions..God gave us minds to use.
Insights: Yes, the women of the earth (led by the pagan cults) practiced the black arts and some angels broke through their vows and had sex with them; and giants/ monsters were born.
2. There are numerous times in the Bible, that God is surprised. The church told us wrong that He is omniscient. He 'lives by faith too' especially when it comes to some of the epochal changing decisions of His chosen women and men.
3. Forget the logistics of the ark..it is irrelevant ! God wanted to save some people and the critters that He had worked billions of years to create; that is what is important...for what it's worth..the known world was only the area around the Mediterranean Sea...no one can prove that the entire earth was under water, at just the one time of the flood.
4. God got a nasty surprise after the Ark came aground and Noah was tilling the soil...Again, He lives by faith...and He is working out (read, correcting ) some things that went wrong.
5. Our library's could be filled with questions like: why did God turn the fertility cults loose first.. and, being all powerful..."why does thus and so happen"...Suffice to say. 'we didn't make the rules;' but, I believe He wants us to study the mystery's and figure out what we can....Especially, I KNOW that He wants us to evolve and grow.
So, be strong...find a scripture that 'rings true' and comforts you and hold fast. Be careful about these boards...there are wicked people here..(and a lot of good people) but, you have to be able to discern. Or confusion and wavering is the result.
God bless.

Your questions are all valid. You should just break them up into individual ones because there is too much information here.
Edit: Some very knowlegeable Bible student told me that he found that Noah's flood was a regional flood only. Sounds reasonable.
Don't listen to anyone here for answers. Stop coming here and go back and read Genesis again with a Concordance. If you can't or won't do this. Just fall back on your faith that anything is possible with God and man will never know all the answers. Works every time.

First of all no your not bad for thinking this way,it shows your longing for truth. It did repent,God no why? Look at what the flesh has done to us. We are God's children,do you think He loves seeing His children,in this state. Also God knows everything, yes. But we are given free will. If someone has free will, you can never really know what they will decide, sometimes from one moment to the next. Also, the fallen angels left there first habitation, which means there spiritual body,to mate with flesh daughters of men. The offspring produced giants. Anak,og and so on . there names translate death, they are half breeds, and have no eternal life. They were so evil, and taught so much wickedness to man. That is the sole reason for Noah's flood.

You need to be bold and ask God in prayer. I have asked God about this. Don't feel guilty.
God has a plan & a back up plan, if we mess up too much. What wasn't in Gods plan were the angels who left their celestial place & messed w/human women. The big dragon in the sky, knew of the promised Messiah who would restore man to everlasting life by defeating death. Genesis 3. So, the Dragon deceived 1/3 of the angels to pervert the human race, so the Seed of the Woman couldn't be born. And, the people & all creation got corrupted too much because of it. Everyone resisted the Holy Spirit. Except Noah, who found grace in the eyes of God. Because Noah trusted & obeyed the LORD God. It was an act of faith to build an ark. He trusted & obeyed God. Everyone else mocked him... God brought the select animals to the ark. Noahs family believed in Noah & went into the ark of safety.
The reason why you feel uncomfortable is because you are doubting. Repent to God for doubting. When I doubt God, the verse God gives me is... Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe that God Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek him. Then I have to repent to God for doubting Him. That God Is who God reveals God Is. And God will never leave me or forsake me.
Also, I would encourage you to seek other people in faith to pray with about anything you want to learn about God. And also, to build up your most Holy Faith, praying in the Spirit, to God, then read the verse in question (toward Gods blessed assurance) & God gives wisdom liberally & Godly understanding.

See the box at the top of your screen that says "Search for Questions"? Try typing in a few of your questions there and see what comes up. For instance, try Ark, or Noa, or Sons of God. See if you can find anything here.
If not, try www.google.com. Do the same thing. You'll get more info than you ever dreamed of.

Gen. 6:6
We need to first understand that the Bible was "not" written for God it's written "for men", and therefore it's written from the perspective of men's understanding. We should even discern that from the fact that God says there that it grieved Him at His heart that He had made man. God is not a man that he should have a heart pumping blood through flesh, but this is the way mankind speaks to illustrate things were not going as we desired. So God uses this language so that the prophets (and indeed us today) would understand. God's ways are so far above our ways that if it was written from God's vantage point, we would be thoroughly confused and have little understanding, for we now see in a glass darkly (1st Corinthians 13:12)
the world grew continually more wicked until there was only wickedness (an example for us all). God is illustrating that His destroying them wasn't an act without reason, it was because of their continual wickedness and evil doings. From our perspective, they were grieving the Holy Spirit! It doesn't mean God didn't know it was going to happen, it means that God takes no joy in the judgment of the unrighteous, and He writes this from the perspective in which we will understand his actions. i.e., as if we had raise up a child who grew to hate god, so that we were sorry that we had raised him up. This is a perspective man understands.
We often see these kinds of episodes in scripture. For example, when God called Adam in the Garden of Eden, and said, "where art thou?" That didn't mean God was searching for Adam and didn't know where he was, that was God writing from our perspective illustrating that Adam was attempting to hide from God. God knew perfectly well where he was! The idea that God said, "where art thou," doesn't abrogate the law that God knows all! It simply means He's writing for our benefit, not His own!
In short, the writing as if there were feelings of grief and sorrow for what is taking place is not incompatible with omniscience or omnipotence of God. It is important to realize that God is writing to us finite beings, that we'll understand His actions as an infinite being. Therefore it often seems to us to be at odds with the truth of His being all knowing and all seeing.
In understanding this, we understand why God says things in the manner which He does. We are finite, God is infinite. He speaks to us on our level. i.e., kingdoms, Gold, beasts, lions, sheep, wolves, serpents, Doves, etc. These are things illustrating in our earthly language things which are of heaven. Things which we can't understand as yet, but which we will understand by and by.
There are just too much information to tell you. I certainly don't want your faith to waiver. Please click on the links below to understand more about your question. Do pay attention regarding the Arc because you seem to doubt it more. they would be able to answer it better than I do. If you still have more question, E mail me.

If your faith is weak from coming here ,why do you come?
You need to find a pastor or teacher in your church and do some study together.
You are not wrong to question, but you are wrong not to ask your pastor first.
This room is full of hateful people, they say very mean things about our God and Jesus. They are uneducated about the things of God.<><
