Because there was no real medical knowledge back then. Jesus was just an ordinary man.

Jesus was not concerned with bacteria of the body, but of the soul. He wanted to give the sinners of the world a special kind of medicine....his life. Death is a part of life and bacteria just aids in that cycle, unfortuantly. If people could stay alive till forever, then Jesus would have no need to come to earth cause nobody would die and move on to heaven. But no all bacteria is harmful to life, that very bacteria that once killed thousands of people, is saving millions.

Bacteria is a natural cause of death. Infection is part of the what it takes to be human. Jesus Christ certainly wouldn't want to prevent people from dying from natural cause. You are basically asking God why can't he just heal all people who are sick. that is not how God works. When sin entered the world, death came with it, hence bacteria's are part of it. Beside all of this, God taught the israelites about aseptic techniques in Leviticus. there were many do's and don'ts about menstruation, dealing with people who are sick such as leprosy, the uncleanness of Bodily fluids (lev 15) and many more!! so please don't tell us that God did not tell us anything about bacteria. He basically told us about how to prevent disease and being clean in the old testament.

I believe that he did in fact tell us in his own way. he told us not to do certain things, and if you would listen and didn't do them then you would not get those bacterias. I do not know these scriptures line for line, word for word, but I know it was something along the lines of when someone sleeps with another person they are unclean for so long. That right there if you ignored that, you would probably end up with an STD of some sort. Sorry I don't really have any better answer than that.

He told us in the Old Testament to practice Kosher, so in effect He told us 23 centuries ago without mentioning a word nobody knew !!!

evidently you have not been reading your Bible.
Jesus followed God's commands perfectly- God's commands include quite a bit of instruction regarding hygeine and disease prevention. Even down to the copper lavers for handwashing- copper has been found to kill bacteria. Seems that God had that all under control to begin with- to bad man began to take God's word lightly and do his own thing- don't blame God for the errors of men

He came for salvation of peoples souls. Death is not a big deal to God. Besides, where would we have stored all the antibiotics he would have had to create by miracle since we hadn't the technology to create them ourselves.

He wasn't aware of bacteria because it was on his sandals and as he walked, he spread it everywhere. It came from that darn holy ghost, I think. He left it after visiting Jesus' mother.

He just didn't use the same term, but he did. HE went down to the level of the people.

Because bacteria have nothing to do with God's plan of salvation.
