Faith is a gift from God to those who love and seek the truth. Through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with God.

There is no personal difininton of "faith". It is what it is.
In the original Bible, not the English translation, "trust" was the word for "faith".
You either trust God, or you don't. (If a person does not trust God, all the words in the world will not create a relationship with him. That does not mean that non-believers are not nice people, and an asset to their community. It simply means they don't have the pleasure of trusting God.)
I am sorry to say this. "Belief" as in John 3:16 did not mean what some folks have declared today. The original Greek text, the original scroll written by John clearly uses the greek word for believe which meant - to believe what someone has told you to such a degree that you "trust" (have faith) in what that person has told you. - to believe in him, to believe in Jesus is to "trust" him as your savior.
Proof: To believe (as used by some folks today) is not enough. Even Satan believes that Jesus is our savior, and he believes that Jesus died on the cross for us, and even Satan believes that Jesus rose again on the third day. ...... But to have everlasting life, we need to do more than Satan who believes in Jesus' (history and existence) - for everlasting life we need to "trust" Jesus, trust his actual words as a way to live our lives. ---- now, that my brother is known to us today as "faith".

Faith commences with the conviction of the mind based on adequate evidence; faith continues in the confidence of the heart or emotions based on conviction, and faith is crowned in the consent of the will, by means of which the conviction and confidence are expressed in conduct.
Key points, faith is a
Conviction of the Mind
Confidence of the Heart
Consent of the Will
Conduct of the Body
As you can see from the above, faith affects the whole of a person's nature. Even the demons *believe*. Belief is not enough. Many may claim to be Christians, but we know from the scriptures that many are called, but few are chosen:
Mat 7:16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Mat 7:17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
Mat 7:18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
Mat 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'
Mat 7:23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' (ESV Translation)
Faith without works is dead, just as the fig tree cursed by Christ when it did not bear fruit (Mt. 21:19). By a Christian's fruit you will know their true nature.

The short version:
"Accumulated after several specific instances has created a sense of trust" i.e. you begin to have faith in someone's word after you have loaned them money and they always repay in a timely manner. Faith is not just tossing up your money to anyone on the street, faith is more like giving a loan to someone who you trust (from previous experiences) is true to their word.

Knowing that God will provide all I need and lead me in the path He wants me to walk. As long as I keep my eyes on the light of Gods love, I will never lose my way.

faith is believing and you dont see anything.it is knowing that god will make a way.it is not getting stressed when things dont go according to your plan, because god already has his plan.its simply knowing that your father god knows everything that you have need of and he will provide it for you.amen
